My company laptop wont let me install addons and using Hobnob is a complete pain with all the adverts. You have to close an ad between each page you browse and it loses it's "last read" place on the page.

Any ideas for anyone who doesn’t want to add another paid subscription into the ever increasing mix?

It’s manageable on iPad but on iPhone the site becomes unusable.

I added Adblock Pro, which is mostly ‘Premium’, but does the blocking for free.

The adblocker app is free. or as SDR suggests the ‘duck duck go’ browser blocks ads

+1 for DuckDuckGo, on my phone I don't come on here as hna is a work thing!

I have the same situation, it's basically an ad you have to dismiss before you can access the page you were going to.

Yes I think I’ll keep it as completely unusable on my phone for that reason.

Obviously site costs have to be paid somehow but it would be nice if the ads were less annoying for sure.
