Hound Obvs assuming Kelvin is re-signing, we’ve got

Kelvin
O’Mahony
Camara
Garcia
Osho
Tuma
Okine Peters
Kyerewaa

As forward options. Wouldnt say we were especially short on numbers and wouldn’t be looking to add another young inexperienced player on loan to that such as Vickers

Just need a bit more experience- Bowler would be great and then maybe one more - but no rush on that tbh

Really need at least 2 more, a main and back up striker unless one of the young players looks like they can step up.

I would hazard that O'Mahony is here to be a main striker - probably why he is here and Brighton aren't waiting for a Champ move. Experienced competition would not hurt though.

100%

Kelvin, Garcia, Camara and Danny K would also be expecting to start I reckon

Throw in Bowler and we’re not far off

Anyway going off topic - apologies

He is, absolutely glazed over him in that list for some reason. But definitely need a 2nd option.

It's a bit light on quality and goals, but not too bad...

AM: Knibbs, Elliott, Kyerewaa
RW: ??, Garcia, Osho
ST: O'Mahoney, Tuma, Okine-Peters
LW: Ehibhatiomhan, Camara

You'd obviously want a bit more upfront, but you'd have said the same about Smith, Wareham... or Wareham, nobody.

Hound certainly has a lot more faith in Garcia than me, but I'd say AM an LW look good. RW short a starter and ST short a back up.

Knibbs has gone nowhere yet, and whilst Kelv hasn't signed, he's said he's staying, Hunt's said he's staying, and he's featuring in friendlies

Ex Reading youngster Taylan Harris (19) is loaned from Luton to Tranmere (he scored in the 9-0 demolition of Exeter City a couple of years back).

Wareham scored for Exeter last night in a game against the mighty Torquay

Exeter appear to have their first 11 playing Swansea this afternoon so not sure he fits in

Bring him back, still be a step up on the strikers we have currently.

Really loved reading this yesterday - astonished it hasn't got more than one or two posts on here. Before his first season, joining just six months after Martin Butler, I'd gone to see Reading play a few times a year. I enjoyed football but it was always second to rugby (maybe even third to cricket) in my affections.

Just before school restarted in September I'd been to see us beat Swindon 2-0 at home and wanted to come back the next week to see the Stoke game on a Tuesday evening. Reading were 3-1 down with about 5 mins to play and then Caskey scored a penalty and Curo scored in the 90th minute to earn a 3-3 draw (I think it was his first goal for the club). And then I was hooked.

We immediately bought season tickets and I snuck out of boarding school in Hertfordshire for every home match at weekends (and the odd midweek game as well). I had a season ticket for another 17 years after that until family and work kept me away too often.

Curo's last minute goal is what turned me from a 13 or 14 year old who enjoyed coming along a bit with my stepdad, into a Reading obsessive. His goal against Brentford the next season to secure promotion (which I saw having snuck out of school again) is still one of the highlights of my life.

Great servant of the club, and it's great to see how much he still cares about the game.

Think I might try and check out a Cambridge City game at some point this season, have to try and time it with him giving himself a game or two.

Remember Rod Thornhill well, was there when he scored 4, not sure who was more shocked, him or the crowd. RIP

Yeah. There's a player there, it all just went a bit wrong for him once he got a chance here and he seemed to wilt.
