To be fair, they have - the answer is you can't have completely safe standing areas (and before the raucous crowd assaults me - you can't have a completely safe anything). There in lies the problem; politicians are loathe to dive in to make something 'more dangerous', and the perception (probably justified) is that standing is more inherently dangerous than all sitting.

That is not the answer well least not at the mad stad. You need people who will actually create atmosphere whether standing or not.

I would have thought an idea of creating a section of fans around the y26 area who on yearly ST renewal form can simply put the request that they would like to be part of a fan base that actually would be happy to make some noise and are not interested in prawn sandwiches.

Sure the numbers would go to about 67 but least it's a start
