Royalee He did indeed, but he played some of his worst football under Coppell who made him captain yet still 'mugged him off', showing the amount of respect the great man commanded.

seriously. give it up. You're looking stupid again.

As long as Kebe is kept on the bench and only plays the last 10 mins of any game, I'll be happy with Rodgers decisions. I also want Kelly to play ahead of 'little big head' Rosenior and Karacan should be given a regular midfield slot. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Henry make a real impression this season and Mooney looks like he should feature ahead of Church and Long up front in my opinion. Let's keep Bikey and hope Harper finds his form again.

The Hunt brothers need to really improve this season otherwise Noel can follow Stephen out as far as I'm concerned!

Overall a season full of suprises awaits us, me thinks - who was it that said 'you can't win anything playing kids' !

For Forest, I'd like to see

Andersen

Armstrong
Pearce
Mills (or Bikey if fit)
Kelly

Tabb
Karacan
Matejovsky
Henry

N Hunt
Mooney

Subs:
Federici
Harper
Cisse
Church
Long
Hal Robson-Kanu
Gunnarsson

Mooney looks better than Long and Church? What, in his couple of halfs in midfield?
You'll be waiting a long time for Kebe to not be starting and Henry looks firmly behind HRK in the pecking order.
You think NHunt needs to improve? He needs to stay fit and be played in position. Easily the best striker we currently have.

You sir, are a bit weird. And are in for a rather disappointing season if you're expecting to see Kelly, Karacan, Mooney and Henry all start regularly.

Andersen

You'll be waiting a long time for him as well. And a 4-4-2 formation.

I think he's on the money with Rosenior.

I agree, but not with Kelly as the alternative

Ok, so I should have remembered that Bikey is suspended, but believe me in some of the pre-season training Mooney looks like a great prospect. He was young player of the year for gawds sake in the league of Ireland the season before we bought him.

Henry is easily a better all round player than Kebe, if you can't see that then I would suggest that you must be a bit weird and Noel Hunt has shown promise, but I have yet to see either a prolific goalscorer or skilled frontman emerge yet!

Give the kids a chance!

Are you not aware that Bikey is suspended for the first 4 games of the season?
Why oh why would Andersen be playing?
Why would Mooney be ahead of Long and Church?
Yes, Noel Hunt had been awful when fit??????
Have you not been paying any attention to pre season? Betrand is now first choice left back, we aren't going to play 442 and HRK is above Henry in the pecking order. You are setting yourself up for disappointment if you want that team?

Mooney isn't that young, he's 25. I doubt he was young player of the year. Have you been watching pre season training?

Perhaps Noel isn't a prolific scorer, thought about that? Not all strikers are going to be 20 goal a season men, look at Rooney. I really like Noel but i think he will work best in a 442.

I think you're a bit silly.

If you insist on trading low grade insults, I think judging by your comments that you're a bit of a nincompoop! There I've said it, take that you miserable sausage!

Ok, so Mooney was player of the year, not 'young' player, but all the same he has been great in pre-season and a Norwich friend was very impressed when he went out there on loan. I'm not asking anyone to agree with my thoughts, but FWiW we have limted striking options and I really think Mooney should be given a chance.

The fact that Rodgers want to move away from a strict 4-4-2 formation does'nt really change my opinions as I believe that both Henry and Tabb can operate in a more fluid diamond formation anyway.

Noel Hunt did have a great season at Dundee U before he came to us, but for whatever reason (not withstanding injuries) he has not been able to re-produce that form for Reading. If he can improve, then great, that's why I'd like to see him start, but I just think time is running out for both him and Stephen and would not rule out their departures at the same time!

Nezhen, have you watched/read anything of our pre-season?!

4-4-2?
Anderson is nowhere near the first XI
Bikey is suspended
Bertrand has featured far more than Armstrong (who is recovering from injury)
Kelly is injured
Kebe is nailed on to start
Mooney has played midfield in the games he has appeared in

Apart from that, your selection is spot on!

Nezhen Henry is easily a better all round player than Kebe,

But they play different on different wings so they aren't competiting for a starting slot.

Henry is challenging HRK for the right wing, and Kebe is challenging no-one for the left.

I wasn't trying to insult you, i was saying you were being silly in the same way children are silly. You are allowed your own opinions on here and for that i'm sorry. It doesn't take away the fact that what you said was a little bit weird. Do you not think that the team played against Chelsea was more than likely going to be the same team we will play against Forest? I do.

Why would you drop Fedders and Hamer to promote Andersen?

I don't get where Mooney fits into this, he hasn't really featured much in pre season, i think it was a gamble signing and one that Brentford will make use of in a couple of months when he joins Alan Bennett at Griffin Park.

I am sorry if i upset you

How about this.

Fed

Rosenior Mills Pearce Bertrand

HRK Tabb Cisse Kebe
Marek

Long (or Hunt)

I think this would allow Marek a little more freedom than he's been used to as Tabb & Cisse can drop when needed.

Wether Mills plays or not depends on his fitness. If he doesn't I'm sure BR will play Cisse at CB and Gunnarson or Karacan take his place in midfield. In fact, Gunnarson should be up for this one as he's Forest old boy.
