They have been totally screwed by the administrators as well; as was pointed out ages ago, the club "saviour" Chris Kirchner (an American "Businessman") had apparently amassed his fortune in Bitcoin, so this was always going to end in tears.

What due diligence did the administrators do on the guy? But hey - they don't give a sh1t; the administrator makes sure they get fully paid even before HMRC see a penny.

S'land also in talks with a potential new owner who's money is in Bitcoin. Their fans are already having a meltdown.

Tbh the majority of fans I have come across from other clubs have been decent and have enjoyed a bit of footie banter. Huddersfield fans at the playoff final were good but there will always be the exception to the rule. Fighting with Swansea fans outside the entrance to Battle Hospital many years ago springs to mind. I’ll always feel for any fans who have to witness their football club fold as most fans don’t deserve that.

The more I learned of Derby's situation, the more I was convinced they were oxf*rd, they are in no way, shape or form an attractive proposition for anyone who isn't already a fan. Most likely situation is they liquidate and Mike Ashley picks up the pieces of what remains.

Around 15 of us ended up chasing about 13 of them up Albany Road and then the old bill intervened. I had a few bruises and ended up in the back of a police van so I can’t really say that I won tbh. I once got set upon by 3 Millwall fans outside Burger King in Friar Street and I definitely lost that one.

windermereROYAL I agree, to lose your club must be devastating for the fans , but for Derby county football club i have zero sympathy, the way they treated us with total distain in the match programme back in 2003 (?) was unforgivable.
A leopard doesn`t change it`s spots, they got caught cheating and must deal with the consequences,

Maybe in a few years, clubs will be saying “relegation really sinks in when your first game of the season is Derby County at home”….

The exact opposite; it would have been a tragedy of gargantuan proportions if Blyth had forked out for a Whopper, stumbled out of the BK into Friar Street - and straight into 3 Sarf London knuckle draggers...........#prayforthewhopper.

Oh yes that would have been a complete disgrace. Arguably would have been the worst incident Millwall supporters have ever been involved in.

Hendo Nah fuck 'em. They wouldn't feel one iota of sympathy if the shoe was on the other foot.

Other clubs would probably make some comment like "Well Reading have no history, are massively tin pot, no one would miss them".

The oxf*rd kept pretending Fulham had scored to send us down at their place, cheered when it actually happened and then tried to give out to us as we clapped our players.

oxf*rd em.

That's one idiot. There would be plenty in 1871 doing the same if we were playing a side relying on another result.

:D

The funniest thing I can ever remember was back in 1978 when I was with a group of around 30 Reading fans and we bravely chased about 3 Wolves fans around the side of the Butts Centre. We ended up running into about 50 Wolves fans and they duly returned the favour. It always reminds me of an old sketch from Benny Hill.

There was a time I sympathised with their fans....but they have behaved like utter tossers with a sense of arrogance.
Constantly moaned about us and our reduced points deduction, even though we have been working WITH the EFL, rather than working AGAINST them and seeing them as the enemy, we just accepted the punishment and moved on......they backed their club to challenge every decision made against them.
Then the draw they got at our place and mouthing off as if we were in their position....which we weren't.
Stuff em....don't think even Forest are bothered.....

blythspartan I know they’re no longer rivals but it looks like the Derby takeover has collapsed. Love or hate them I really feel for their fans.

I don't want any set of fans to lose their club - But I was disgusted by the idea that HMRC were willing to accept less than they were owed in tax for it to go through. You have this industry where people are paid millions a year and live in luxury and we're expecting the tax payer to take a hit to allow it to continue.

Ah man plus one to this.

And why aren't more questions being asked of the FA who are presiding over all of this. Probably taking back handers to fund their lavish dinners and pensions.

In terms of Derby, couldn't give a damn - but it's a damning inditement of the absolute st8 of the game.

This all falls under the jurisdiction of the EFL and it is a damning indictment that matters such as relegation are being determined by points deduction. The current system is failing in so many ways. Why were Derby allowed to spend so much? Where the checks?

Derby 4/1 to go down again. How likely is it they start with another points deduction, assuming they don't go bust?
