Sadly it has got to the point where there are 95% of Reading supporters who have got no idea and will allow the club and the players to walk all over them. They also don't understand football. The other 5% of supporters are sensible and are sick of being taken advantage of.

This forum reflects that.

Where did I say I was miserable? Honesty and correct opinions shouldn't be confused with being miserable. The club and players in its current form do not deserve our support. Sickening to see so many of you crawling up the backsides of the players because they decided to semi turn up when the TV cameras were on.

as a supporter you have a choice. either support by turning up at games and making some sort of noise occasionally, or you don't bother. you have no other influence on the players or club or whether they "walk all over you" or not.

your only other possible influence is if you engage in a spot of motoivational booing, which is daft and self defeating.

as demonstrated by our players already feeling overly pressurised by what is one of the tamest, least demonstrative home crowd in high level british football.

You're coming across as a constant misery. Positive people look for encouraging signs and things to work with when the chips are down, noone ever got out of a bad situation by moaning.

No I support my club I do not support our players who have repeatedly let us down and continue to not give a shit. If they feel pressurised then they could always put in a transfer request and bugger off never to be seen again. We shouldn't have to put up with players who don't care about the club or what the badge on their chest represents. The very minimum we deserve is a bit of effort and passion and a large amount of players do not give us that.

This. I'm not Swift's biggest fan, but it's obvious from his body language that he knows when he's screwed up, and yes, he does care.

Frankly, with a number of our players, they would be better if they cared less, not more. Because if they didn't care, they wouldn't get nervous after making an error, and immediately go on to make another one. If they didn't care, they would be less likely to dither, or take the easy option when the fans start moaning.

"the players don't care" is the laziest and most worthless form of all kinds of analysis and comment. It's a bit like a three year old having a tantrum, and screaming "I hate you". Might make him feel a bit better temporarily, but it's not true, won't get him what he wants, and is irritating to bystanders.

Occasionally, you'll come across a player who truly doesn't care - but because he makes everybody else's life difficult as well, it's going to be obvious that his team mates as well as his manager and coaches despise him. When you look at celebrations when we do score goals, or keep clean sheets etc, generally there doesn't seem to be anybody left out in the cold.

Ilori 4 - Moore was almost a one man CB at times, he was clearly injured, constantly walking back when United were on the attack, and pathetic defending for the second goal. Get Rid

As you say, he was clearly injured. Hardly his fault that the management team decided not to substitute him till half-time was it?!

Swift 4 - can be categorised with Ilori, I can't remember the last time he played a defence splitting pass, it's just backwards and sideways or to the other team

You're probably right, like most people are I'm guilty of being biased in a negative way towards certain players (Ilori, Swift etc). I was just just frustrated giving that second goal away when we seemed to be on top, at 1-0 we always had a chance, but at 2-0 it was game over, and Swift and Ilori were culpable for the second goal, hence why I gave them lower ratings

However I still stand by the point Ilori should have demanded to come off, I know it's Old Trafford but it was so obvious he was injured, he couldn't move very well and that probably didn't help with their second goal. With regards to Bod, I wasn't necessarily pinning the idea on just the United game, he's been fit since the 15th December so should have had a couple of starts in the period where he wasn't injured considering Meite and Loader's poor performances
