windermereROYAL Well if Kompany could see it from the halfway line what does it say about officials a few yards away from it?

And somebody please tell me about the counter argument Burnley fans are coming out with that they should have had a pen in the first half for holding

They should.

Holmes being his usual handsy self was literally hugging their player in place, openly, in full view of the ref, before ducking the ball over their player so he couldn't do anything.

Only possible argument for not giving it was that the Burnley player didn't look like he was trying to break free or win the ball.

Others have mentioned our lack of possession.
On top of that we produce so few chances it is asking a lot for us to win games.

A very good team effort yesterday and playing like that we shouldn't get relegated.
Let's not forget that has been the aim in most of our eyes this season and a flirtation with the higher reaches of the division has been enjoyable but not sustainable with the squad that we have.

Ince has done a very good job with what he has and survival is still what this season is all about.

We haven't got the quality of player that QPR, Swansea and Burnley have, the likes of Olise and Swift have long gone and our best passer and creative player has been injured all season.

I don't think we have much choice to play as we are away against top 6 sides.

Yes, given our success I was surprised to see we have about the fewest shots per game in the Championship.

Our conversion rate must be pretty shit hot though.

Lots of long shots too, because we very rarely create much of anything in the box that isn’t from a quick break.

Bitterly disappointed to come away with nothing that our performance collectively didn't really deserve, and the referee has had an absolute shocker with his decisions on the day. A typical game away from home against one of the better sides in the league.

Thought Yiadom was outstanding yesterday, a class above the rest and Ince and Meite did well also. The midfield maybe didn't do enough but held shape relatively well, just didn't affect the game too much really.

Luton away is another tough, yet winnable fixture and Preston is a game we have to target from 3 points. Anything against Luton would be nice to keep up ticking over after a sticky spell of late.

Can't be him, he's played six games and doesn’t have any real record of creating.

Royal_jimmy Something Paul Ince said stuck with me in that he thinks the EFL want us to get relegated. I'm starting to agree with that.

Why is someone from Lancashire allowed to referee the game?

I would say this is a pretty lame reason.

I was assistant in a Reading cup game despite declaring and often officiated at Southampton and Portsmouth games living in Hampshire. It means nothing. I have no affiliation with those teams.

Unless in emergencies refs would never do their towns or clubs they have declared support too.

Out of interest if a ref says they support Celtic/Arsenal would they get Rangers/Spurs games?

Can’t speak for what happens in Scotland but yes to England.

Ultimately, if you're committed and successful enough to be a ref at that level, you aren't going to be so unprofessional that you'd favour one team over another based on where you were born or who you support.

No one every questions a footballer playing against their boyhood or hometown club.

There's absolutely no reason anyone should question the ref's honesty.

Competency, all day long.
