traff Got a horrible vision of Leam turning into Kier Starmer over the next few months. Can hear him explaining the reason we are shit was all due to the previous management whilst we slide towards relegation.
I note tha Jacobson had been conspicuously quiet and hiding from the obvious problems that have stemmed from an inexperienced CEO and crap recruitment. Can only assume Jacobs is somehow related to him.
Really fear for the future under this management team

No, but his agent is related to the previous manager.

Hound Well now I’m hope and digested the game a bit. Let’s get the moans out the way first - injury time and extra time was absolutely awful. Embarrassingly terrible. Carlisle offered very little and somehow scored 3. They were barely chances they scored from. Need to see the goals back but they looked shocking. Stevens especially had a mare

——

For the first 90 we weren’t bad at all. Would have been the most routine of cup wins. Carlisle barely threatened and we could have scored 3 or 4 more

Jacob actually had an excellent first half. Lane was good. Kelvin in and out but threatened. Jacob was playing very high and wide and Yiadom more in a back 3. In fact up to about 75 mins I’d say it was pretty positive - the only disappointments were Doyle and Kyeweraa who I can’t see LR sticking with at all

The subs really hurt us. Taking Kelvin off meant we lost any real physicality (WTF has signed all these ‘midget’ forwards?) and that killed us. Mom had some nice touches and linked with Kelvin but that all went with him going off

In terms of system Wing was much further forward and we were hammering in a series of decent crosses through Lane and Jacob and almost scored through a great header from Kelvin (I think). Kyeweraa didn’t put a single cross in, but did one nice cut back.

There were plenty of positive signs. It’s a huge shame we crumbled so embarrassingly. Stickland is just invisible and Stevens was awful. We just totally lost the plot

I think we’ll sign one if not two CFs in the window

I'd suggest the Carlisle #9 and #10 as Forwards to sign in January.... please..

Dunno barely noticed them until injury time. I’m sure there’s plenty better

Edit: sorry was that the sub who scored the hattrick? Obvs he would be of interest

It's fair to acknowledge we're a tough gig for new owners and CEOs. I'm not going to say we're a "big club" etc., but objectively we're at our lowest point in 25 years after a decade of consistent decline. It's hard to come in and shake that off, while fans have learned to be naturally cynical and distrust owners after a string of bad ones. By contrast, Wycombe were a smaller club near their pinnacle of on pitch performance when Couhig bought them.

They're struggling without a doubt, but taking the long view, there is plenty of time to learn and improve.

To add insult to injury I went to the early Norwich game today, which they lost 0-2, with the fans attempting to storm the directors box after the game.

11 in 16 this season. 24 last season. Definitely worth a look.

Nothing from LR yet on Twitter, anyone local - did Dellor interview him after the game?

Sam Smith might help short term, but he's not the player to get us into a promotion push or do anything in the Champ.

Obvs the abysmal collapse will get the headlines but we did actually play pretty well up until then - and with some of things that we’ve been crying out for - getting the ball wide, crosses in, Wing further forward. Much quicker moving the ball than under Hunt and wingers actually contributing. It was pretty dominant stuff and nobody could have seen that collapse coming before it actually did

Obvs big concerns on why the Carlisle goals happened - but we know Stickland and Stevens are nothing like first choice. Jacob sounds like he was at fault (couldn’t see that) and he is an issue - he did great first half but he is a liability defending

That CAM position isn’t working out and thought both Camara and Kyeweraa were both really poor and we need a different option there.

Yiadom describes the game as "a bit disappointing".

He's not the brightest spark bless him.

The strangest thing I’m finding about this season is, bearing in mind the players that left and those that came in, people’s expectation levels.

Don’t be sad. Of course it was always going to be pure shit.

Pathetic and unprofessional would be my summary of that game. Done all the hard work to get a 2-0 lead and looked fairly comfortable and then you stop doing all the basics. Too many day dreamers not reacting to second balls. Standards quite frankly need to be higher.Too many passengers in the starting 11 today.

It's embarrassing and we're all hurting however, this might just be the kick up the butt these players need and at the right time under a new managers first game in charge! Leam will be suitably embarrassed by this result and knows he'll coming under instant pressure from the fans.
He now has the excuse, not that he needed one to go and rip things apart and let off some hot air!! and it seems a few have been having an easy ride of things. The gaffer looks like he could be pretty intimidating if wound up the wrong way and i hope we get an instant reaction against Stevenage next week.
We were never going to win the cup so at least it doesn't harm our league placings however i really hope Carlisle don't get an easy draw followed by a glamor tie against Arsenal or Chelsea.

Yeah

The one thing that really sticks in my mind is how little we had up top after the subs. The absolute biggest screw up of our transfer policy was signing such a small and weak forward line. Clueless.

Puscas is currently without a club!! Strangely i always thought there was a good footballer in him he was just used in the wrong system. Think he would be a better option than MOM and big Kelvin up top.

I just hope this is the kick up the arse this team needs. Stop blaming managers and start taking ownership of the situation.

Listen, I want you guys to win, but losing to an NL team when you're 2-0 up is like us losing to Grimsby i.e., it shouldn't happen
