My issue is he doesn’t win 50 50s when the ball is loose or chase down. It’s frustrating. To say I think black players are lazy is an unacceptable accusation.

I think he’s a good player but not suited to what he’s being asked to do.

Seems a bit much to suggest criticism of Kelvin is racially motivated. For my part, what makes me call him “low effort” is that he never seems to chase the ball and more often than not you will see the ball drift past him without so much as a flinch towards it.

I appreciate the world needs to be on its guard for anterior motives and dog whistles, but it also needs to avoid attributing racism to every criticism of people of colour.

I appreciate we all see different things when we watch a game, and sometimes because we are aware of something we tend to look for it more, but I keep seeing it. He’s just rooted to the ground. He won’t even stretch out a leg for it. It stands out for me, because I have never seen a player behave as unresponsive as that. You usually see people dying to get the ball. To me it feels like if he can avoid touching the ball the whole game, he will.
