windermereROYAL Anybody that thinks an already safe Cardiff won`t roll over and get their belly tickled tomorrow are sadly deluded, they love Colin down there.

Cardiff aren't safe are they?

Stranded

In regards to the winless run, if we do go down, I think the games that will have cost us are the Birmingham, Hull, Bristol City and Preston games. Ordinarily, we have been strong at home to bottom half sides with a lot of our wins coming against those sides and we have dropped potentially 4 points there. Preston and Bristol City you'd have thought we could have potentially got more from, even if our away record is so meagre.

I do wonder what changed. On the field, we didn't change that much under Ince. May have hindered more than it helped at times, but we were always "doing enough" to stay up either way. Even away from the field, the mentality was always about survival. Again, probably hindered more than it helped but I wonder if the points deduction had a bigger impact on the squad than we maybe realised.

The winless run starts immediately after it gets leaked we're due another points deduction.
That must have destroyed morale. "What's the point, if we're just going to get relegated by fiat".

That feels like what has happened, where as you would have hoped the management would have tried to engender a mood of screw the buggers - lets get the 2 or 3 wins we need quickly - if we had managed to find just 2 wins in this run, 2 in 11, we would be safe - our form would still be shocking but we would be safe.

Maybe it's a coincidence here but the players haven't been good enough. Have we looked like winning any of those 12 games? Birmingham we drew but we didn't look like winning after they equalised. Hull (another team we should be hoping to beat) wasn't really one where we were unlucky. Yesterday we controlled it against a poor side but created barely anything. Millwall at home we didn't even have a shot in the whole game, probably should have drawn 0-0 but didn't.

Yes, Cardiff are safe as Reading can, at the moment, only catch Huddersfield and Rotherham.

The biggest game of the 3 influencing what’s left of Reading’s season is the Cardiff v Huddersfield game (live on BBC Berks at 12 noon today).

Am I right that theoretically we could stay up with a draw if Huddersfield lose both their games in hand as they're above us by 1 better GD, and losing two would at minimum reverse that...

I think Sory Kaba (7 goals in 10) being benched equates to half their team's goals being out

Glad it’s all pretty much settled now, going down so enjoy the new clubs never played before, the female officials and the day trips to Fleetwood, Northampton and Stevenage, not to mention *xford and their three sided comedy ground. Probably lose the battle to go up with Derby, Portsmouth, Bolton, Blackpool, Peterborough, Wycombe and Wigan. Not going to be easy but with the FL off the backs of the club and now some decent blokes managing things behind the scenes we might see some decent, ambitious and exciting players next season rather than a load of cheapo aged failures and cut price best of what no-one else wants.

Just need now to find the right manager, hope the club actually interview several people rather just appointing the first one that comes along like they always do!

Expecting the first game next season to be away at Orient or Lincoln.

Song prep for the relegation party:
We're on our way, on our way;
To Forest Green, we're on our way;
How we get there, I don't know;
How we get there, I don't care;
All I know is we are on our way!
Que sera sera;
Whatever will be, will be;
We're off to Salford City;
Que sera sera!
Do do doo;
Road tripping to Barrow!
Where the fùck?
Where the fùck?
Where the fùcking hell is Crewe?
Where the fùcking hell is Crewe?
