The point is, for zero investment we have Hunt-Long doing brilliantly


That sort of argument is about as credible as the Chairman claiming that the Man City game proved we deserve to be in the PL!

Whilst Long may now be performing brilliantly and Hunt is chipping in with some goals (I'm sure he wouldn't yet claim he was doing brilliantly), we have f*ck all decent cover! Who have we got to come off the bench capable of turning a game around in our favour?

We should have taken the opportunity of the transfer window to strengthen this season's team and increase its chances of making the play-offs not just 'bought for the future'.
