readingfc13 ALF was definitely shooting rather than crossing and it was going wide by about a yard.

Rubbish. It was a very purposeful chip to the back post, where he knew Chuch was.

Anyway, obviously plaudits have to go to the two CB's and Ledge. All 3 were fantastic today. But I also thought ALF was excellent. Linked the play magnificently.

Great performance, great win.

I think he might have been taking the pizz out of us too. So maybe the laugh is equally on us but still very funny.

So, nobody thinks that Jimmy Kebe was being a disrespectful tosser? He deserved to get done properly , cant wait to see him leave the club personally.

Well, let me be the one to disagree. If you really believe that then you are a fool.

Kebe's job is to entertain Reading fans

kebe's job is to help RFC to win games.

(a) He entertained BRILLIANTLY with Sockergate.

(b) He got an opponent sent off and we scored immediately.

LEGEND. Well done, Jimmy.

John Madejski's Wallet Comedy skillz from Kebe, great to see

I'd chalk that win up to Ledge myself. Stamped his authority on the game from the 1st minute and controlled everything. Truely beautiful ball in from Alf for the 2nd too

This. He controlled everything in first half, Superb.

Leigertwood my MOTM - although even he had a couple of dodgy moments.
Always pleasing to see a "big" team implode at the Madejski.
I do hope Kebe doesn't make a habit of showboating like that - but as a spontaneous wind-up it had me laughing out loud for the sheer audacity of it.
Considerable discussion about it on 606 this evening.

No place in the game for a tackle like that TLM

Players who deliberately set out to harm another have no place in football.

That's probably our best match since the playoffs.

Kebe is brilliant.

Ratings:
Feds 7- sorry, but I can't give a goalkeeper more than this if he doesn't do anything.
Cummings 8- good performance, overlapped well, kept Collison relatively quiet (pre-red).
Gorkss 9- barely troubled by any of West Ham's international strikers
Pearce 10- better than Gorkss, also scored the best goal he's scored for the club.
Harte 7- got skinned by Faubert a few times. Fortunately Faubert isn't very good. Passing much improved since the last home match.
Kebe 10 MOTM- his best performance for a long time (since Leicester?). Loved the socks, totally in character.
Karacan 8- did well enough
Legs 10- top game, absolutely bossed the midfield despite him and Jem being outnumbered. Great on the ball, made loads of interceptions and a few good tackles.
McAnuff 8.5- quite quiet, especially in the first half, but that was largely because O'Brien was kicking him all over the place, and he did excellently for the first goal. Overshadowed massively by Kebe though.
Hunt 7- very "meh" game.
Le Fondre 9- link up play excellent, didn't really have any chances.

Subs:
Church 9- would be 10 if he hadn't had such an awful first touch when through late on.

West Ham:
Green 5- seems West Ham's fans want him replaced with Joe Hart, must have destroyed his confidence.
Demel n/a
Tomkins 8- excellent. Unlucky that his teammates got themselves sent off.
Faye 4- poor, built like a wardrobe but couldn't dominate our tiny strikers.
McCartney 4- should have been sent off at the end.
Noble 5- okay, I guess.
Diop 5- seem Faye
Faubert 2- quick, but his end product was appalling.
Nolan 4- brilliant block to deny Piquonne. Otherwise useless.
Collison 1- should have been booked at least for an appalling challenge on Cummings. Atrocious foul on Kébé, hope he's suspended for a long time. Shame, because he was so promising a few years ago.
Piquonne 6- one of their better players, threatened our goal.

Subs:
O'Brien 2- seemed to do little other than kick McAnuff.
Cole 4- couldn't get past Pearce and Gorkss.
Carew 1- didn't realise he'd come on.

Ref 8- maybe should have clamped down earlier, and definitely should have sent off McCartney, but he got the major decisions right.
McDermott 10- excellent use of subs once again
