Better than the hyperactive children on 107.

I only ever hear Dellor during that 30 minutes up till 6-00 after a home game.
He is very much an amateur, enthusiastic but with so little knowledge of the game.
He is in love with Harte and my favourite this season when he was talking to the manager:-
"Brian, have you ever considered playing Ian Harte at left midfield with Mills at left-back?"
"No" replied Brian in a curt response.

I do think that Adie has a future in that holding role (on the radio).

Every time I come home to watch a game with the old man we have Radio Berkshire on.

Leading up to the game is bearable.....

However, I always fear the possibility of defeat, not because of defeat itself, but because of the shite I will indefinitely have to listen to all the way home.

Svlad Cjelli For the second goal insisted that Fererici must have been fouled because there were lots of players in the 6 yard box and Federici couldn't get to where the ball was.

Yup that was his only comeback to me when I rang in today saying Federici should've done better for the 2nd goal!

during the game?

Seriously, do you listen to BBC Berks whilst you are watching the game?

I am assuming that on at least half of the occasions you do not.

Whilst agreeing with you.

May I suggest that you read the posters comments on his presentations elsewhere on here...before you put your head too far above the HNA kindergarten parapit

Reading World now carries Radio Berkshire commentary!!!

We poor buggers in exile pay to listen to him

Todays insistence that the 4th official decides how much added time there should be was embarrassing and so was my shouting at the laptop!!!!

I quite like Dellor tbf.

His football knowledge is on a par with the average Team Boarder but he's pretty enthusiastic and I just like the slight shitness of it all really.

Being completely over the top like Stuart Hall is entertaining whereas just being an arse is pretty tedious.

'I didn't particularly like Dave Kitson' - Tim Dellor
'Why not?' - Mick Gooding
'I just don't like his attitude' - Dellor
' ' - Gooding

He's a charisma blackhole and awful at his job. He spends more time wittering on about his nights out and journeys to and from matches than he does describing the game. His analysis is an utter joke, be it of what's happening in the game or how the club is run / performing.

I thought Peter Hood on 107 was terrible, but Dellor takes the biscuit.

A colleague of mine at work is a Brighton fan. He wasn't able to go on boxing day as he was on the road, but happened to be near Basingstoke for the second half so lumped the car stereo on BBC Berks.

I asked him what he could make out of the game, to which he replied "sod all, that twit on your local radio spent most of the time criticising our away kit and talking about car journeys and half time snacks. You'd think on a live football commentary he might actually want to spend some time talking about what's going on being that's why we've all tuned in!".

Pretty much sums it up for me!

Well to be fair the Brighton away kit needs to be criticised and the game itself was pretty awful with not much happening - particularly in the 2nd half.

Yes Dellor is a plank sometimes - the 4th official decides how much time to add on being a particularly new low (didn't think we got Rugby League down here as that's the only place I can think where the actual ref doesn't control how much time to add on, so god knows how he managed to come up with that chestnut - unless he follows RL) and does ramble about the same fact over and over sometimes - but he does care about Reading and also some of the inane questions he's criticised on asking are questions fans ask over and over.

Local radio generally is shoddy when it comes to getting little facts right so Berks is no difference in that respect.

Therefore all in all Tim is about average for your typical local radio hack and let's not also forget his spoutings prompt a reaction which is what you want to get people wound up enough to text/call in (I call it the Mike Parry effect) - by the looks of this thread that seems to be working.

If anyone wants to moan about him why not write a NICE CONSTRUCTIVE letter to him at the BBC pointing out what you see is good and bad about his commentary/the programme in general and see if you get a response putting his side of things.

I heart Tim Dellor - he makes me laugh - and he does know what he's talking about most of the time - a lot of the stuff he used to put to Brendan (and also to McD) is what a lot of fans are thinking - I, however, think Adie Williams is shoddy and amateurish - and Rita on the texts could, at the very least, know something about football "and a caller here says HRK blah blah blah, I'd give him M O T M" - she didn't even know what it meant!! I'll happily give up my saturday afternoons watching Reading in order to help inject some more footballing knowledge onto the programme and read out the texts. But I won't be reading out ones from people who weren't even at the game.

Despite his mongness, Tim Dellor's knowledge of the game shits all over the average paying customer at the Madejski.

I actually quite like listening to him before games. Doesn't really know what he's talking about but total enthusiasm and always speaks his mind. The Rodgers interview was a masterpiece.

"Dellor also works for the England Cricket Board, as their "Head Coach -Lead Tutor". He runs the ECB Level 3 coaching programme, developing the skills of elite coaches. He is an ECB qualified cricket coach, coaches Berkshire Minor County Cricket first team and was the Greek National Cricket Coach for 9 years."

A man of many talents it seems. Fair play!
