SPARTA Will most definitely be a sad day when he leaves the club. It wont feel the same without him.
Def. not a wig then or it would have blown off!

Saved us from what?

Lacoste Most owners would have just sold out to the highest bidder to get their money back, but even in these uncertain times he's still there guaranteeing funds in the Jan transfer window. He has no reason to do this bur he clearly still wants the club to succeed and progress.

At best the old 2nd division/3rd division for the rest of our days. We'd be like Hartlepool now if it wasn't for SJM.

M Brook Let's not forget the role of SJM's predecessor, Roger Smee. He played his part in turning the club round. It's not all down to Sir John.

Of course, but Smee did as much as he could have done to be fair. SJM has always stated that he came in with hours to spare before we faced oblivion, so from that perspective he saved us, and then took us to a level no-one ever expected.
I started watching the club around 92, and my family always stood there with me and told me how we'd never play in the top flight, we'd never see a new flash stadium with this capacity, we'd never, never, never... But we have. We've achieved the unbelievable under Sir John's ownership. Smee deservers recognition for what he achieved under the circumstances he faced, as does SJM for what he has done here. Now we're at a time when new ownership is vital in taking this club forwards again and maintaining that progressive momentum. We just have to hope that we are equally as lucky, and that the new owner is the sult of the earth.

Terminal Boardom Certainly not my cup of Darjeeling. Everything he has done for the Club has been on a business basis. No money has been given as it has always been as a loan - albeit on generous terms. The worst bit of cloth cutting he did was to effectively force McGhee out of the club at a time when we were playing the best football witnessed for a generation.

The bit about agreeing to stay and then fùcking off to Leicester was SJM's fault then?
