Pepe the Horseman Downes wasn't Coppell's assistant.
Oh yes he was, Downes and Dillon were both Assistant Manager.
Lampard, on the other hand, was "Footballing Consultant" or some such. I believe his contribution was telling Sigurdsson to shoot more.
