Winston Smith it was a good evening. JQ didn't seem so comfortable with a microphone in his hand but MG seems more than at home and gave some gr8 anecdotes.

I wondered about asking the question about Scott Taylors black eye but someone else did. Quinn said he carried on kicking ST when on the ground and only stopped when Parky punched him. MM gathered all the players together without Quinn and asked them all if JQ should be in the starting XI the next day. They all voted no they didn't want him playing. Arrived the next day and MM had put him in the starting XI anyway, Quinn then scored the winning goal.

Oh and James Lambert was as much of a c**k as everyone assumed

What's the story there? Quinny beat him up in training?

Red mist handbag jobby, Scottie took shot at Quinny's head, accidentally or deliberately (that is unknown), which just missed and JQ completely overreacted and regretted it instantly.

There was also a good story about the original Floyd Streete with Ady Williams in the shower....

It was public knowledge at the time. Taylor was playing with a black eye and stitches and JQ was heavily fined for headbutting him. The full detail of what really happened wasn't know though, until last night.

Gunny Fishcake Brilliant night , the word legend is often overused but Jimmy Quinn, Micky Gooding and Ady Williams are true RFC legends . Highly entertaining with Micky very funny some wonderful anecdotes and a great insight to those great days at Elm Park

^ This.

Had a good 10 min chat with Jimmy Quinn and 5 min with Mick Gooding - both utter gentlemen and all round good eggs.

They say you should never meet your heroes as they will disappoint - well NOT in this case.

Great night, great venue, great speakers and the fish and chips were great too. Will be a fixture at all future events, gutted I never bothered before!

Anything said about Dariusz - I seem to remember he walked out of the club for a few days following a bust up with Jim (game at West Brom)?

Jim accused Dariusz of fixing the match. Given later events he may have been right.
