Sutekh
Saaaaaaaammmmmm It's actually quite strange that we are referred to as Reading U23, despite that age limit playing no part in the rules for this competition

"Each Invited Club must ensure that in each Match at least 6 of the starting eleven players named on the Team Sheet are players who were aged under 21 as at the 30th June in the year in which the Season concerned commenced"

So technically it's Under 21, but as we're allowed 5 overage players it's not really Under 21, so I'm not really sure

I thought the FL changed that age limit to under 23 late on.....

Having extensively Googled this I can't find anything that suggests it got changed, all the 'Official Rules' published on the EFL website etc state Under 21

Pepe the Horseman
Saaaaaaaammmmmm Bradford don't appear to be taking the competition very seriously, only naming 3 subs tonight

And they've just subbed their keeper in the first minute of the game

Bury 3/1 in-play...

Currently Bradford 2-0 Bury :D

Any word on how many brave reading souls there tonight?

133, apparently there's over 1300 there tonight which is a bit more than was previously stated

Just noticed Portsmouth have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's 18-year old younger brother Christian on the bench tonight

Joe Michalczuk on Twitter #Pompey game emphasising how behind we are as a club & in dire need of £. Reading's youngsters look like Barcelona compared to our squad

Ooh Barcelona

Also penalty to Reading

Oh Jesus Christ, I didn't think that arsehole with the bell could get more annoying. But no, in a crowd of 1300 he's far more noticeable.

Reading get a potentially dodgy penalty and Mendes gets a goal

That's three centre forwards on the scoresheet for Reading in the space of a week, what striker crisis?

I can only imagine the feeling when you buy a season ticket at Pompey to find you're sat next to that bell(end).

Time for Kuhl to make a couple of changes in midfield by the sound of it.

Should search on the twat properly and take it off him. Must be breaching some FA rule or another !

Annoying as a win would definitely have put us through to the Last 32

The other game in our group is currently 0-0 at Bristol Rovers, however Yeovil are down to 10 men

Apart from the Peace Cup and other possible pre-season tournaments, is this the first time we've ever competed in a round-robin phase of a cup competition?
