Franchise FC
Once upon a time . I sympathise with Tom Ince , there’s him , a quality player , better than all the others , running his nuts off , and most of the rest , just not capable of putting in an adequate performance . Is it any wonder that he has a blast at them , I’m just amazed it took him so long .

Twice upon a time

I think he sympathises with Tom Ince.

Is there a player of the season vote this year?
There is no doubt that he would win by a distance and he has been a rare success in a diabolical season.

It's all digital, most of the fan led groups are suggesting a fan boycott due to it being awarded at a private awards dinner.

Forbury Lion I imagine if we stay up, he might stay unless we get a good offer and he wants to go.

If we go down, he'll want to play in the Championship and once he's proven his fitness we'll undoubtedly get an offer for him which we will have to accept.

His Dad is his biggest fan, I don't see him being appointed manager anywhere anytime soon so we don't have to worry about him poaching his son to play for him.

I suspect Daddy will have been working on a move for Thomas for some time. Weren't the Blackpool fans unhappy that something like that appeared to happen when he was with them?

I'm not sure about that, Towards the latter part of the season a fair number of fans were becoming very unhappy about his repeated tantrums and constantly having a go at other players, particularly when his own form had dropped right off.

I think the likes of Joe Lumley and Andy Yiadom may well have ended up giving him a run for his money.

Reckon Lumley wil win

6/10 performance the season, which still just about tops everyone else

Probably just about the most consistent, rarely injured player this season, still don't think he's very good, keeper stats suggest he's pretty poor. He has the 9th worst save % in the division and the worst when it comes to expected saves vs actual saves

Certainly compared to all the reviews from fans of his previous clubs, he has done pretty well.

Only had one really horrible game v Rotherham, but has made some excellent saves throughout the season.

Wow, that last stat is interesting and worrying.

I would keep him if we stay up and would let him go and save money and play one of our younger keepers if we go down. Personally think Holmes may just pip him as my player of the season.

Regarding Ince, i would let him go know that Daddy's gone. Would much prefer to see Azeez be given time to grow out wide on the right and Camara in the Center.

All a bit misleading with a keeper though surely, as a large amount of it depends on the sort of cr@p you're dealing with in front of you, if the idiots masquerading as defenders are having bad days then the number of times a keeper is left in a game in positions where they have no chance of making a save will increase. And let's face it Reading's defence has been an absolute mess for 2 seasons.

My impression of Lumley is that he's reasonably safe, nothing spectacular, probably not the keeper of choice for a Premier League promotion charge but then not a total "shepherd" either.

You can't and it won't be! Tom Ince will win but as the club have decided to hide it all away at a £200 quid a table dinner instead of announcing it at a game, so all fans can show appreciation, no-one is likely to give much of a stuff anyway, certainly STAR have withdrawn support and their effort to get votes as a protest.

How is Expected Saves misleading? It judges the quality of shot the goalkeeper faces, so if the defence is crap and letting easy chances through, the expected save stat will be lower

He's pulled of some pretty top saves in half a dozen games, but most of what he manages is pretty routine.

And a lot of the goals he concedes, whilst they aren't errors, they're the type of thing a good keeper pulls something out the bag on much more often than he does.

One of our rare saleable assets.

I'd probably take the money and get two or three in for him

Don't think he'll play for us again. With the player market these days it's hard to tell whether we'd get a fee for him - especially if he wants to leave and we're forced to reduce the wage bill. If we're lucky there'll be 2-3 clubs interested and we can get a million or two.

Cash in now as there should be interest looking at his stats for this season, reckon we could get £2m.

if he stays we're likely to see the Stoke version on TInce next season.

I'd definitely say we'd get a figure for him, hopefully a seven figure one. His wages aren't all that high so that does mean his fee would be lower but the necessity to sell him would also be less, he isn't one of the higher earners we need to move on. Got a couple of years left on his deal so that should bump his value up a bit and would be a good addition for a lot of Championship teams. £1-2m would be reasonable.
