Can I just take this opportunity to point out to the masses, that me having HALLS on the back, does in no way endorse feelings for John Halls, but infact for my own surname. :D

The thing that gets me is John halls must have talent or Coppell would of sold him off. He must impress in training but when it comes to the pressure of a game infront of fans he bottles it.

2 years from now, John Halls will be working in Carphone Warehouse, playing part time football for Heybridge Swifts and my blood pressure will return to something approaching normality.

Rob-Royal Ability aside, he totally lacked any energy, desire or enthusiasm. What's more he obviously isn't fit...certainly match fit.

Apparently, he has a thing for coke. I would have thought the gas wouldn't help.

What I do find irritating is that once you lot dislike a player he can do no right.

John Halls can kick a ball and he's sh*t. He makes an excellent pass and you shut up but the second one goes wayward you are right on his back again. YEt if Harper did the same he would be 'unlucky'

HE made a few mistakes last night but also didn't stop moving up and down the wing supporting Little. Yes he got skinned by the winger, but so did everyone. He was a quick little f*cker.

Are you forgetting he's only played a handful of cup & reserve games and just had an entire pre-season without football?

Give the lad a chance...then again why should you. You've already forced out Keith Jones amongst others out this way.

Proves my point exactly.

Even when he had the odd good game he still got booed. Once you have a bad game at Reading, you'll never have a good one in the fans eyes

100% agree with what you're saying, R&R.

The same thing happened when Lita came last season. Even after he scored some amazing goals in terms of finishing and timing, the next time he was seen as being lazy or poor, people would be back to knocking him once again.

If you don't particularly like one of our players then don't say anything. Booing him is a complete no-brainer as he is playing for our team and putting more pressure on him will not help anyone's cause.

Oster's the same. People boo his every touch but I just don't see the logic in it.

Rob-Royal Ability aside, he totally lacked any energy, desire or enthusiasm. What's more he obviously isn't fit...certainly match fit. Against Feyenoord he was outpaced time & again and same last night. Failed to join up with attacking play and just looked totally disinterested.

De La Cruz on the other hand I thought had a very good game. Bombing forward and good on the ball, you could see the hunger and he really impressed, despite playing out of position at left back instead of on the right.

agreed, del cruz didnt look too good, but as the game wore on ( ), he did get better and was close to MOM...he made some good runs, his passing wasnt too great at times but he showed the desire and some skill at least....bikey played pretty well, though sometimes indecisive, but prob due to first proper game....Mate was too great but you have to give them a chance.....as for Halls....time to sell/give away

Wanna bet?

I give you one James Harper.

A few pretty sideways passes (that lead to nothing), a few jokes here and there, all is forgiven and you become a legend 8)

Sorry. You're wrong. This guy is different. He was awful on Tuesday and did nothing to balance out the numerous errors he made. He just doesn't seem to be bothered. Not part of the squad like the others.

I think you just lost your own arguement

I agree he had a pre season without football. It certainally wasn't football he played at Millwall

and he was hooked at half time v bromley
