PEARCEY Well said Rawlie. As it happens I am going to the game on Saturday....first and only away game I will go to this season. So what.. I am passionate about the club and always know the score, who is in the side and care very much about how we are doing...perhaps too much as there are more important things in life, like my partner, our kids, my parents, sister etc...etc....and chose to spend some of my hard earned time and money being with them instead. Even so I will support the club irrespective of which division we are in until I am six feet under.

Plastic! Why give up then?!

We are clearly lacking sufficient backing from the spirit world at the present time - how else can our dramatic downturn in fortunes be explained?

Next time Sonko gets his legs tangled around a striker breaking into our penalty area we need someone 'not of this world' to be there holding the player up and making sure he can't fall over. The next time Hunty takes a shot in the vague direction of our opponents goal, we need an unseen touch 'bending it like Beckham' into the net.

It's time the thousands of glory hunters who turned up to our FA Cup semi-final against Cardiff woke up, and started backing the boys - even if they can't make some noise!

I can't go to Everton because I've got to take my daughter to her ballet lesson.

Rawlie19
airpun lol @ the plastics coming out with 'more to life than football' and all this other guff now that the novelty has worn off.

Thank you all foryour support, we'll see you in another 137 years.

Fcuk you newbie!

I was at Elm Park pre Wemberly thanks very much. And I was a season ticket in the 3rd tier of English football. And I didn't go to loads of away games last season either, because of the same reason as this year. In fact I've never been to 'loads' of away games, but I have been to some un-glamorous grounds and seen some stinkers.

Man, people like you that assume because you go to EVERY single game (I take you do?) you are better than someone who goes to only half the home games really makes me boil. Feck off to Aldershot.

Good one Rawlie, well put! Haven't been to many away ground sover the last 40 years, probably no more than 15-20, but crappiest must have been Welling (2 FAC ties AND a reserve game  ), Dartford (for Maidstone LC), and Crewe 1975. Jeez ... they were dumps!

Crewe's not bad now, Dartford's a housing estate and Welling is .... well ... Welling!

I've got no intention whatsoever of letting Airpun in on my plans for this weekend as they're not open to fishing any further, but, in a display of bare-faced hypocrisy, I'd like to ask where you will be this weekend? Just the ground name will do...I have my suspicions.

lol

Same old Reading fans, talking the talk but still sat in their armchairs on a Saturday afternoon watching Soccer Saturday.

'Oh look at me look at me, I was at Carslile away in 1879 on Tuesday night in the Auto Windscreen, I'm such a great fan'

Mugs.

Tell me you are fishing here please? You really can't be for real can you?

Anyone who gets into the 'I am a bigger better supporter than you' discussion really gets on my t@@s.

What gives anyone the right to say someone is a 'plastic' or not a true supporter.

In the real world people have families and other commitments that means they have to balance things out. For example I expect there are many supporters who have to work on a saturday, that is life.

I apologise....I should have said I will continue to support the team during my reincarnation as I rise like Lazarus from my grave.

Pubs For Everton Game?

by Thomas L'Heureux » 08 Feb 2008 09:47

I realise this isn't the ideal place to be posting this, but I was wondering if there's any pubs in Reading that are likely to be showing the Everton game tomorrow. I'm unable to make the game tomorrow so myself and a few mates were hoping to catch it on one of the foreign feeds, but don't know where to look.

Cheers in advance.

Don't think we can advertise the establishment on here as I think they're breaking the law. I'll pm you, just in case and then you can pass it on to any others who ask...

Can you please PM it onto me, the dodgy streaming always seems far better in the pub than on the internet

Thank you
