tee peg Vision Letting Rosenior go was a mistake in my opinion but considering the grief he was given by the fans pretty much blaming him for every goal we conceded then its quite laughable for people to whinge about it now.
Hands up.I was one of the above but I am not whinging now as I have my pride!

Right, lets sort this out. When Rosenior arrived at the beginning of 2007/8 I, and I think a lot of other people, was disappointed in him, but I never knew whether to blame him or not, as he and Fae (and others) were played out of position on the right wing, and did a predictably rubbish job at it. It was pretty clear that all the good work of 2006/7 was going down the toilet, and we no longer had a right winger that could compete in the PL. Rosenior had a bad start but it may not have been his fault. I would rather we'd have kept Seol - we were short of good options. Then we end up in the Championship and Rosenior (and everyone) plays well for a while then loses it like the rest of them. Once again it was pretty clear that all the good work of the early season was going down the toilet and we no longer had a right back who could compete in the PL. That was always the objective - to be competitive in the PL. It all feels different now. I'm a realist. I'm not afraid to say sorry. At this precise moment I'm no longer longing for a right back who can compete in the PL - I'd settle for one that can compete in the Championship, so of course I'd like Rosenior back (for one thing, we were much more resilient against breaks as he would stay back for our set pieces and he could cope with the pace of opponents and sort them out) , but I can see that we can't afford him as he's very overpaid on his Reading contract.
The Kelly shoulder operation is news to me, and a serious disappointment. I'm fairly sure Davies played quite a lot at right back??? Tabb could cover left back if reqd. I think we have options other than Cummings. Apart from Cummings, I don't think we've got other weak links in defence or in goal, I really don't. I think Federici is good at this level and can get better. I think we have good centre backs and good left backs. While we're so shockingly shiiiite in and around the opponents penalty area we will always appear worse in defence as we bring pressure back onto ourselves and eventually capitulate in comedy style. With the exception of Cummings, the priority has got to be up front. We've totally failed to deal with the loss of Kitson/Doyle/Lita. Next priority, make better use of the range of midfield talent we've already got.
