SDR is so disillusioned by Donut & the old faggot chairman that he can't bring himself to waste his life listening to the game on the radio, let alone write on here!

West Stand Flash Yeh shut up coz were a great side, it's great being an average mid-table side who couldn't win a game for toffee. Goon!

I'm honestly puzzled as to what you and your father (squeaky SDR) get out of supporting Reading. I can't be arsed to address your whinging and moaning because quite frankly that's all you ever do. Both of you only ever seem to appear on here when things aren't going so well.

Your dopey old man comes on after every loss spouting shite about real facts. You come on and peddle the same old shit. Is there anything you enjoy about football or supporting Reading? I'm guessing not. Maybe time to fcuk off eh?

West Stand Flash
winchester_royal LOLz at the mongs.

As if a point at Brammal Lane is a reason to get all suicidal...

Donut & Madejski continually continually continually harp on about Play-offs and promotion yet we skank a draw against an AWFUL Sheff Utd side. Can't hold on for a measly 6 minutes.

C'mon pull your head out of your @rse and realise were a below average side that'll be lucky to stay up!

Where are you when we're doing well? We are a below average side who have had their best players sold and have a manager who has got a group of below average players to perform to a higher level than their natural ability would get them to.

26-10-06 This is getting stupid, I've just about had enough, seriously considering my season ticket next season.

Seriously - what sort of season did you expect?

Disappointed but not too upset as the season was already over and I think the players know it which is going to make motivation difficult for the rest of the season. One thing that struck me purely from listening to the radio is that Antonio continually lost the ball which I have felt for some time is why McDermott hasn't yet trusted him to start. Neither he nor HRK are a viable option as a starter.

Although McDermott might argue the system helped create a lot of the chances I have to agree with those that will say we should have gone back to 4-4-2 again for this game as Sheffield United are so poor even if we had changed to that at half time.

Time for Hunt to start on Saturday with Manset getting his chance in the next few matches. If Pearce is still injured I would probably bring Zurab in but maybe it is time to give Morrison some game time soon as we plan for next season.

Sheffield United
• United have won only one of their last 12 league outings, and have drawn three and lost five of their matches under Micky Adams.
• This is the club's 900th home fixture in the second tier (W495, D229, L175).
• The Blades have failed to score in only one of their last eight home league games.
• Only nine players have scored league goals for the Yorkshire club this season.
• They have conceded the opening goal in 18 Championship matches this term - more than any other team.

Reading
• Reading have kept only one clean sheet in their last eight away league games.
• A draw would be the Royals' 13th of the season.
• Brian McDermott's side have not lost a league game this season after being in front.
• Shane Long and Jimmy Kebe could both make their 100th starts for the club.

Given the bold bits, a draw (probably 1-1 with RFC scoring first) was the only logical conclusion ...

Why does McDermott persist with this stupid 4-2-3-1 formation? When this was a MUST WIN game? Play two up front or just don't bother. Long was isolated for 70 minutes, then when he had someone supporting him, he scores.

That doesn't excuse the woeful descision by the ref to give that penalty. Horrendous decision.

Wake up you tart and realise that 3 years ago we were a premiership side & now were a below average championship side. How are d*ckheads like you happy with this??? You need to get a life mate. Reading FC = family club of the year. That translates to power puff fans who have no passion.

If you're disappointed fair enough but it shows what a complete and utter moron you are that you need to use homophobic and generally offensive language to get your points across.

Moron.

Was anyone expecting us to win this with Harte & Howard starting and playing a negative 4-5-1 formation?

McD missed the opportunity in the January transfer window to bring in a decent central midfielder as back up for Karacan and Leigertwood. We have paid the price for this the past few games. The team is nothing without Lege and Karacan in the middle...

Thought we were mid-table - have we been docked points or something ?
Maybe for going into administration ?

Posting in the heat of the defeat / victory isn't always the most rational time to post but I can't help feeling totally bloody deflated. Yes the margins are very slim but our defence really is sh1t.

Play-offs were never achievable IMO but I guess I had a slim hope we'd be in the race with about 3-4 games to go to keep it kind of interesting. Unfortunately we've blown it with 1/3 of the season to go which is rather dissappointing considering this league is quite average.

It pains me to see the quality sucked out of this club year on year.

My glimmer of hope for next season is that Manset becomes our next "star" as Kebe, Long & McAnuff will all be leaving of that I have no doubt at all. Why stay at RFC? We have zero ambition to reach the top flight again.

The 4 "hard sell" texts I received throughout the course of the day about renewing my ST today have p1ssed me off as well TBH!
