IMAMATEOFJOVSKY As it doesnt look like Coppell is going to sign a target man- this could mean a 4-3-3 next season with

Lita,Doyle and Hunt Jnr up front

Marek, Hunt Snr and AN Other in Midfield....AN other could be Ben Watson

Rosenior Bikey Duberry and Shorey at back

That would be good actually.

Hope not!

Nick Hammond - “His goal record is very good. He’s a grafter who wears his heart on his sleeve and the Reading fans will like watching him play. In terms of his work rate he is similar to his brother.”

Sweet, two little engines that could.

So we have replaced Kitson with a player worse than Shane Long (he has full ireland caps), bloody marvelous!!

No ambition, Coppell out.

papereyes
Arch We're in a better position than they are, for example, to take the stance that we will not sign the old and satiated, or spend a couple of million on players with a history of frailty.

It wa sgood to hear Coppell use the phrase 'young and hungry' again.

Agreed. Although I can't have been the only one worrying that he would say he wanted "to see players that looked young and hungry, like a junior swimming team at a BBQ". A bullet dodged, I think.

Dunfermline get 20% (120k) of the Hunt fee as they inserted a sell-on clause when he was sold.

If anyone is interested

I see the Fickle hob nob anyone members have found thier boo boy before they even have given him a chance then

Strangely enough it looks like same muppets who slagged Coppell off for signing some unknown Irish striker 3 seasons ago. Now you probably sing we all dream of a team of Kevin Doyles at matches... well if you even go to matches.

Give him a chance. I reckon he will come good also.

Some of you make Harold/Kes look intelligent.... LOL thats pushing it too far me thinks

Because of course, not having an international cap automatically makes a player worse than one that does.

Kitson didn't have an international cap. Doyle and Long didnt have full international caps until after they signed for Reading.

Give the lad a break.

Perhaps not, but it is hardly a glowing reference for is ability is it. Admit it, we are replacing players with second rate replacements.

40/1 for relegation seems like a good bet to me.

Here's a radical suggestion for you. Why don't you hold off judgement until he's made an appearance or 3?

The comparison is that Hunt and Long "play" for the same country. Long is ahead of Hunt in the shake up for forwards for RoI and so the Irish management obviously rate Long higher than Hunt.

It's not difficult to work out.

It's nothing to do with Kitson or Doyle having caps.

shock that player at fairly well performing premier league club (first season)who doesn't play much gets cap over player at scottish premier league also ran club.

I still think waiting and actually seeing how he does in pre season, and maybe a few league games is a much muh better idea than writing him off because Long has more caps.
