Was just looking him up as I couldn't remember when he'd left Charlton. He's played 428 games as a professional, and the most for any one club is 93 for us (30 on loan). Nineteen clubs in fifteen seasons

I wonder how many footballers he's played with - must be well up there!!

Curo played nearly 1000 games for 35 clubs
Lita has had 24 clubs and 650 games.
Hector’s not even close just among ex Royals !

Sam Smith was reported missing in the aftermath of yesterday's game.

Fortunately a Detective Mbengue of Thames Valley Police found him alive and well, if a little shellshocked, nestling quietly in Tyler Bindon's back pocket.

Yeah, I thought it was a lot of clubs relative to the number of games, if you see what I mean. If you take out ours, it's 340 games and 18 clubs, an average of less than 19 games per "team"

Not a huge disgrace to be marked out of the game by the best player in the league, surely?

Certainly outside the league players move clubs frequently and play few games for each club. They are mostly on pay as you play so if they aren’t getting games they move on quickly, and if they aren’t getting games they get offers from other clubs ! At our club we’ve got about 5 players on contract and those are always 1 year deals. May be slightly different at the NL clubs who manage to stay full time but to see a player with 40 clubs is not that unusual and I know of players this season who have played for 4 or more clubs.

Good point, it was a little indulgence on my end. I have no issue with Smith but was just enjoying the win.

Michail Antonio is taking "baby steps" as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg sustained in a car crash, says West Ham boss Graham Potter.

The 34-year-old forward had surgery on a lower limb fracture after the accident in Essex in December which led to him spending more than three weeks in hospital.

It was reported, external this week that Antonio, who is West Ham's all-time leading Premier League scorer with 68 goals in 268 games, is on course to return to first-team action before the end of the season.

Potter said it was "too early to say" if that was the case and he didn't "want to put that type of deadline or kind of pressure on him".

"He's tentatively out on the grass, but not so much. He's on the [anti-gravity treadmill] which helps in non-weight bearing work," Potter said.

"It's baby steps. It's day by day, week by week, and then we will see. It's great that he is making the progress he is."

Antonio was given a warm reception by West Ham fans during a pre-match walkabout on the pitch before Monday's 1-0 league defeat by Newcastle.

Potter said the Jamaica international, who turns 35 later this month, was "intelligent enough" to know when he will be ready to make a comeback after such a serious setback.

"He is very determined as you would imagine, and trying his best," added Potter.

"But at the same time you have understand what he has been through, where the start point was.

"He obviously wants to get back playing, wants to do everything, but at the same time knows the situation he's had to deal with.

"Day by day you don't make much progress, but over time you do. He just has to remember that so he can stay strong mentally."

Lol. Hal Robson-Kanu just popped up in a Facebook ad to try to sell me his new wonder medicine, called ‘turmeric’.

Edit: He ought to send a load to Antonio.

Dean Bouzanis has signed for Charlton until the end of the season.

They must have an injury crisis

he’s been training with them for a while apparently, and yes, they have (Maynard-Brewer).

So probably resuming his role of bench-warmer

Michael Olise scores a free kick & provides an assist to Dembele for France in the Stade de France against Croatia.

Named MotM by a country mile.
