Emi Martinez looks to be leaving Aston Villa after he was pictured in tears after their final home game.

Clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia interested.

Would be a shame if he went to Saudi as he has many years at the top left in him.

Of course the lure of the Saudi coin is hard to turn down. For all my posturing when I talk to friends/family I'd struggle to turn down doing the same job for five times the salary, untaxed.

No 'new' news as it were haha but just wanted to tell everyone about the time I met Bobby Convey and had a prolonged conversation with him on our favorite club:

First, he is the main reason I became a fan. Back in 2005, I had just graduated from High School a few months earlier and went to a college to play American football; and tbh was not that huge of a football/ soccer :) fan. One day in the common room of my dormitory, a couple of others in my same residence hall were watching a game. They asked if I wanted to watch it with them, their was an American for one of the teams if that helped haha. I said sure!

It was the Royals home to Hull CIty. Lo and behold Convey scored in the 7th minute I think it was and I just simply loved watching the fans and how exciting it looked for those in attendance. First ever Reading goal I saw being scored by a fellow American automatically made him my favorite player haha.

Fast forward almost 12 years later and there was a meet and greet of current/former USA players near me. Of course, I had to go as Bobby was announced as one of the attendees. I wore my Reading shirt and he smiled and noticed right away of course. We started talking about the club, his time there, and any funny stories that he had. He did tell me one about him and Kitson but not sure fully appropriate to put on the forum haha.

Overall, a fantastic dude and wished he had been here longer.

Last I heard about him was this past Summer he was doing his best to recover from having cancer. As I said, he was a fantastic guy when I talked to him and truly hope he is doing as well as he can.

Great to hear, hopefully someday he’ll be able to come back over for a game and a spot of welcoming!

Sam Hutchinson has heart attack and then scores goal!

AFC Wimbledon midfielder Sam Hutchinson played a full 90 minutes and scored the winning goal in a crucial League Two match, despite suffering a heart attack just six minutes into the game.

The 35-year-old veteran, whose career began at Chelsea, helped secure his team's play-off position with a 1-0 victory against Grimsby Town on May 2nd. Hutchinson's 53rd-minute goal proved decisive, but his post-match celebration was short-lived.

During the journey home from Blundell Park, Hutchinson's condition deteriorated, revealing the seriousness of his earlier discomfort. Subsequent medical examination confirmed he had suffered a heart attack during the match.

Tennai Watson has entered the fray, from the Addicks bench. Also nice to see Jobi McAnuff and Parky on the pundits team. Better than Russell Martin yesterday, the smug twat.

I am not sure what's happened with T Mac. I feel badly for him because he was so likeable and you could never question his attitude or effort, but he's always hit by injuries at inopportune moments.

The guy never pulls out of anything or gives less than 100% commitment, which when you're made of glass isn't that sensible.

Loan possibly ended and Charlton didn’t extend it.

Saw a Portsmouth fan asking why he wasn't playing, so I assumed the loan was extended for the play offs otherwise they would've known why he wasn't playing.

He didn't feature in the semi finals either, so will mean he is either injured, the loan not extended to cover play-offs, or just not favoured.
