I'm surprised that Blue_Elm can count as high as two. Although not surprised that he gets two when counting Matejovsky, Harper, Rosenior, Ingimarsson, Hahnemann, Hunt, Bikey & Doyle. TBH I'm surprised he can work a computer.
no you've totally lost me now, we were talking about investment which is contribute money to make money, we're skint and have had to sell off all the high earners so we clearly didn't stick to the dictionary definition now did we :-)
I'll spell it out. We invested money into the wages of players we'd have otherwise had to have sold, and invested money in the behind the scenes spending to keep the club on a Premier League fitting and were 1 game from another £30m pay day.
i have the full accounts if you'd like them emailed to you?

Yes thanks Floyd. I'm treating myself to game at the Mad Stad and seeing all my immediate family at some point over the Christmas weekend. Then next week I'll be having a nice Xmas evening in with the new Mrs IR. :)

Hope you'll be having lots of festive fun.

Good-oh, might see you at the Swansea game then old chap. I noticed a thread on AE a while back about a potential Mrs IR, lovely stuff.

I'll keep my eye out. It should be easier for me to spot you looming above the crowd than you spotting me over everyone.
Look at this way... heres some good boards

WBA - Keep going up and down, but have been doing that on a budget similar to Reading's
Wigan - Non League to settled Premier League side - enough said
Everton - Skint; but always up there in the Premier League
Stoke - Gradually worked there way into the Premier League, again on shoe string
Burnley - Where did they come from??? Spent nothing, now looking like staying Premier League
Hull - Another success story, good management, although looking possible to go Pete Tong

and lets look at some serious cock-ups

Portsmouth - Players not being paid etc
Charlton - Cutting the Cloth cost them
Southampton - Administration, total lack of management
Leeds - As above
Reading - Excellent team, if invested would have gone back up. Cloth Cut - 5th from bottom
What have the bottom five have in common, directors who know,or knew, oxf*rd about football or how it works

Blue_Elm, you could have come up with far better arguments than you have as to why Madejski and Howe are doing us no favours but you've let yourself down with some of the drivel you've posted.

Getting drunk, watching some rubbish telly and some rubbish football on Boxing Day and the 28th probably floyd - will you be bringing your foam hand to Home Park and remain backing Brian?

It takes some doing to put up the worst thread of the year on a board with both Ideal and Royalee on it.

I'll be there Royalee, sadly sans foam hand which was given away as a kind seasonal gesture last Saturday evening to a 7 year old boy with Downs Syndrome. True story.
