Thing is, we deserved to win.

End of!

As I said elsewhere, without Torres and Gerrard, the Bin Dippers are mid-table League 1 at best!

Just been reading their forum and i've got to say that their fans, in terms of loyalty to their manager, are quality. It's very rare to see these days, and hate them or just dislike them, I personally think it's a great trait that they've got.

"The difference between us and the Reading side is that they play like a 'team', something we have not remotely looked like since last season. Fair play to them was well deserved to be honest.

How many times have I heard 'Insua slow to track back' this season?

We have no final third, little fight or belief.

Fantastic cross and great dribble by McNabe or whatever his name is, impressed by their desire, team spirit and belief, qualities we desperately lack."

His interview on ITV was awful. Just could not answer a question. Fair play to Gabriel Clarke (the questioner), he took Rafa to the cleaners. Car crash TV.

I'd be surprised if he lasts the week after that interview. Interviews are often very revealing. Roy Keane was out of control in his last interview at Sunderland. Gibson only gave up on Southgate after he gave a defeatist interview for the first time. And Rodgers' strange tussle with Dellor gave the impression he had lost the plot. Benitez came over as a man who was so emotional he was about to implode. Not good. It would be a convenient time for Liverpool to make a change, then the new guy can use the rest of this now futile season to address the problems.

My thoughts exactly. He sounded like a man who knew his time was up and that everything he was trying to achieve had failed (and of course it had).

Yeah thought the same, looking very emotional and beaten. There are claims Liverpool can't afford to sack him though. But he surely can't have much longer. From top to bottom, Liverpool are in a right mess.

Rafa's reaction

by Jerry St Clair » 14 Jan 2010 09:06

Rambling, incoherent and completely ungracious. He was torn to shreds by Gabriel Clark, ffs.

Insinuated that it was all the referee's fault, but didn't have the nads to actually say it. Grow up Rafa. Your band of multi-millionnaire's were completely outplayed. Now react like a man.

He could have given RFC a bit more credit imho - but he's a dead man walking and knows he'll be gone pretty soon. SSC for Liverpool job?

Rafa's there till the end of the season IMO. after fuckfacegate the last thing they need is to further destabilise the dressing room - apart from the scousers all those players signed for him.

Steve Coppell also said in the pre-match build up that Liverpool weren't up to much without their two stars.

Coppell's right about a lot of stuff really.

I'm not sure I agree to be honest. He was obviously seething and Clarke was desperately trying to get a controversial soundbite out of him which Rafa just about managed to avoid giving him. Under the circumstances its Rafa 1-0 Gabriel Clarke.

What???
IN the same way as the match was Liverpool 1-0 Reading

Gabriel Clark gave him the Paxman treatment and Rafa looked a pathetic beaten man.
