if this is an example of russian players then, please, no more. should have gone for rhodes when he was available.

Really? You wanted us to spend £8m on a player completely untried in the PL? That's worked for Southampton, hasn't it.

We were exposed down our right hand side, that was the problem today. Gorkss needs a rest too.

super darren caskey Jason Roberts looked good again today.

He one of the few prem quality players we have

Need some new ones in jan

+1 on that. He has to start.
Shame he didn't play the last 10 after watching Pogs performance.
He would have posed a bigger threat.

Unnacceptable result. Should not be losing that! Fail on Tuesday then we should look for new coach. Should be seeing out games. Unprofessional! Losing to wigan is a major blow.

i saw a few times during this match where one of our players (i cant remember who on either occasion) was going for the ball and completely missed and tackled one of our players leaving us completely out of position. one time it resulted in one of wigans goals. completely embarrassing.

To throw two points away was bad enough but to gift all three away - shocking!

Does anyone else worry when Ledge gets the ball or is it just me?

He seems to slow play down when he gets the ball when we could have a good counter on.He has been great for us in the championship and i thank him for that but...he shouldnt be starting any more.

i have a strong feeling that the side he chooses for villa is going to be the same side we witnessed today...for me the side to play villa would be:

feds(im only choosing him until mccarthy comes back), cummings, pearce, morro, shorey, mcanuff, tabb, guthrie, HRK, alfie, roberts.

We seem incapable of stopping teams from shooting. Players break through our midfield and defence almost at will, and when you give the ball away as much we do that means we’re relying on players missing most of their chances and/or our keeper having a blinder. I think overall we’ve been very fortunate not to have conceded more this season.

In recent games our opposition have had:

Wigan 19 shots
Everton 21 shots
QPR 23 shots
Swansea 25 shots
Liverpool 23 shots

We’re unlikley to win games where we give the opposition that many chances.
