Another decent chance from good build up play. Ritchie shoots straight at the keeper.

2 subs on the hour mark (clearly pre-planned because Randell was playing well I thought.

MOM and Garcia on for Ritchie and Randell.

Rotherham haven’t conceded a goal for about 4 hours now.

Rotherham playing for the 1-0 now. Tom Holmes on for their scorer Benson.

Wonder what Reading would be like if they had an actual Quinn type striker.

Scared of going in at HT I would imagine.

Another poor 1st touch when in on goal. Doyle this time.

We are creating opportunities but our first touch at crucial moments is costing us dearly.

Royalcop Maybe Noel Hunt wasn’t the problem?

No appreciable difference in playing style, we desperately need a proper central striker capable of holding the ball up.

Rotherham look sharp and focussed, not confident we’ll get back into this.

I reckon "the problem" is the scatter-gun summer recruitment.
The loanees have added numbers, not strength to the squad.
Ritchie is almost guaranteed a card in every game. His impact on games is nearly 50/50, either positively with his boots or otherwise with his mouth.
So Couhig has said he'd rather pay higher wages than paying transfer fees.
I suspect Leam might offer a different viewpoint, suggesting that a bigger squad of average L1 players doesn't cost much less than a smaller squad of better players backed up with our young, learning, fringe players. January's going to be interesting.

Hunt was sacked after a toothless display against Doncaster so if the owners are consistent Liam has to go tonight after an equally toothless display. And we haven’t even played for 2 weeks so no excuses.

Yeah I have been watching live games on royals tv for ages. I’m telling you, there is no watch live. All I get is “buy video pass”. I have logged in, I have bought a pass, I have an email confirmation, I have been every which way around the site and it just doesn’t work. If it worked for you today, I guess you got lucky. But the site is an absolute broken mess and I honestly can’t find any way to use my pass.

Cross.

Have you tried clicking on Subscriptions?

Sorry, I don’t want to clog the match thread up with stupid technical issues, so I’ll drop it after this but yeah - I’ve been all over the site. That particular page is a car crash. You can’t scroll the subs, it’s stuck, and at the bottom under “upcoming live streams” the two buttons are “buy video pass” and “buy audio pass” and neither of them work. Not that I’d be any better off if they did, as I have already bought the video pass (via a different route - “match passes”).

Sigh. Was looking forward to watching. I guess the game being shit makes up for it in a weird way.

The commentary team have just admitted they've had "teething problems" with the match day passes so there's that at least.

fair result. we were too slow for large periods and Wing annoys me slowing it down constantly looking for the Hollywood ball. So, so light up front, January can't come quick enough, we need strikers.
