I cant help but remember the agony and disappointment when we lost to Walsall...I never want to feel like that again...today may be worse.

I'm now starting to get a little twitchy. A little like a cat on hot bricks.

Now that Lawrenson has picked Sheff U to go up I'm feeling a lot more comfortable.

I don't think that is realistically true EIL. Who knows how our team will perform. Brum have already suffered the disappointment of now getting the auto-promotion spot at home, could be nervous or could come out all guns blazing to right that wrong. It is a hopeful reaction from us as supporters.

Schards#2 To answer the question, i'm not nervous at all. I think the chance we have is pretty remote and we shouldn't have it any way so really have nothing to lose.

I'd be sick with nerves if I was a Birmingham fan.

Spot on. Nothing to lose for us.

Well, I slept last night which was more than I thought possible. Am off to present my radio show now before heading to the pub. At the end of the day we're the least likely of three teams at the minute - we just gotta hope. I'm gonna sink a few and enjoy my day whatever the result.

By the way, If anyone wants to listen to my radio show, its at http://www.ilovejamradio.co.uk (at 10am) and its a sports roundup/preview show, so it could help to focus/take your mind off things!

+1 getting excited now though. Coppell's teams normally perform best as the underdogs. There's nothing to lose, we don't expect to go up automatically, so I'm hoping the team just go for it. Will be gutted if we win and Sheff Utd win though.

No need to be nervous. There is no pressure on us.

But you shouldn't be!

Sheff Utd already have their game won thanks to the Colin factor, that much is obvious to all but the terminally naive.

If Reading lose / Sheff United win = be gutted as we lost
If Reading draw / Sheff United win = be happy as we stopped Brum going up
If Reading win / Sheff United win = be happy as we won and go into the play-offs on form

terrified, frankly. i don't even get to watch the game, i have to do a shift that nobody would swap with me at the pub. i know it's a chance we shouldn't have, but we have it, and i can't trick my mind out of being hopeful, however hopelessly.

^ 'greed. I keep telling myself it doesn't matter, as we get another chance if results don't go our way today, but I'm really nervous and I have no idea why.

I had to follow a car all through Winnersh just now, with 2 wolves mini kits in the back. I HATE Wolves.

It's a gorgeous sunny day, I've ironed my shirt, we are in the play-offs and going to Wembley, *
Shane is scoring goals and will go into double figures for the season, Kebe's crosses are superb,
we're so good we have Doyle on the bench.

I don't care what the result is today as long as we show heart and passion

* but we might go up automatically. Sheesh you can't buy this

FFS - the sky news pre match story is all about the "ghost goal" and that that is what gets Reading promoted if they go up

Oh, and The Goat Was Fed crying at Derby

...and bizarrely that's the reason I think we'll go up - give them something to talk about/appeal in the next few days. That and the paradox of going up on goal difference considering what happened last year.
