(.)Boobies(.) Defeat today all but ends Brian McDermott's chances of getting the job full time.

We will lose but he'll still get the job!

Well if rumours are true, an announcement is apparently planned after the Liverpool game. That was the last I heard a week ago. The club wont appoint Brian McDermott if these results continue.

If that is the case then it implies the decision has already been made, meaning today's game won't come into it.

If they've agreed with another manager then they won't change their mind if we win today. If they've decided on McDermott then losing today won't make any difference.

the odds of them deciding the appoint McDermott or get another manager in based purely on today's game is unlikey.

Good post to be fair. Can't disagree with any of that.

Rev Algenon Stickleback H, I meant based on the two previous results and a defeat today would mean it is extremely unlikely that Brian McDermott would be offered the job on a full time basis. If they did, it would be a ridiculous decision.___ Regarding the rumoured announcement after the Liverpool F.A Cup tie, this was echoed by another trustworthy board member. Indeed I think he beat me to the post that day. So we shall see, but an announcement doesn't mean a decision has been made. Surely only that they plan to have made a decision by then? My thinking of events anyway. Personally I hope it's Gareth Southgate or Ferguson Jnr, both of whom have apparently applied for the vacant managers position at the Madejski Stadium. [Ferguson has applied for the Hillsborough job as well]

Ipswich moving up the table. Plymouth looking at back to back wins. I feel sad and for the first time think we're probably getting relegated.

Nicky Hammond is such a twat.

"the likelihood of any players coming in January are highly unlikely, outgoings more likely."

Pathetic.

2pts out of 9 looming - but Egoman will still employ BM - its a good move by the Ego to not announce a permanent manager over the transfer window as he saves even more money!

lol the club aren't that stupid, they are just on the windup. Obvious fishing from hammond. Quite why no one has taken him apart for it is beyond me. Can't we just ban him? He's becoming more tedious than kes.

I lolled at this quote from the OS:

"Reading are not playing well. Plymouth aren't doing much to enthral the crowd either. The game is not much of a spectacle at the moment."

Sounds like the most depressing game of the season

I don't care what you think, it doesn't change reality. I didn't go much when I was at Uni back around the turn of the century and I couldn't afford to go to many of the Premier League games at £100 a pop, but other than that I've always gone to games. I can't make a lot, but I still see a fair few.

Perhaps you should try challenging what I post rather than who I am or how many games you think I may or may not go to if you don't like it. I could go to no games in a season and see none on TV and still talk more sense than a significant minority on here. In fact I could go on holiday to the moon for a season and then come back and still give a better summary of the season than some even if they went to every game.

Its about time the egomonster and his sidekicks got this shambles sorted out, he has no interest in the club, he has done what he said initially and got us to the premiership, and has now just put us on the back burner with very little interest or care about what happens in the future.

Yes Madejski you took all our praises when we were eighth in the premiership, so be prepared to take all the flack now you have done this to us !!

You have become a waste of time, and most are bored and fed up with your " this shows the ambition of the club" bollox that you spout out.

Boobies, let's hope Madejski isn't an absolute clown and gives the job to BM, because I'm sorry but this dude has no reasons to be given the job. Leading he reserves to the title when it was against Premiership kids means nothing. Nice chap, but not up to the task. We need some quality in charge, it's just a shame we have a clueless Chairman.

After listening to Hammond on he radio just the saying no new players in, we are staring relegation right in the face!!
