I agree, did you see that 'Rooney' bloke the other day?? Played awful, thank god we're not signing him.

Yeah. If he’s now on trial at a bigger club, it’s bound to be because we thought he was shit.

It could just be, that having had him here a youngster then giving him another trial recently, then having the opportunity to watch him in a major tournament we have decided that he is not really that good.
Add to that the fact that everything about his contract situation looks dodgy , Sunderland are welcome to him

Does anyone here still think he is great after watching his ACN games ?

I agree, he looked like a pub team player, easily worse than any defender we've had at the club for the last five years at least.

That's a pretty huge shout when you consider players like Marcus Williams.

Surely if we've filled our 25 places we couldn't use him even if we signed him as a free agent?

I would've thought the same would be true for Sunderland? I thought once a PL squad list was submitted, that's it until the next window, regardless of whether the player is a freebie?

Yes, but if he's a free and you really want him, buy him anyway before another club does and have an awesome reserve team.

In hindsight this situation was handled farking shoddily all round. I know allot of people are great fans of Hammond and what he brings to the DOF role, but i can't help but think responsibility for this shambles has to lie with him.
