This was another pointless waste of time for every one. #18thnotgoodenough

Richardson needs to do better, let’s hope he has a bit of opportunity to improve things in January otherwise it’ll be a relegation close call

andrew1957 Hunt was sacked after a toothless display against Doncaster so if the owners are consistent Liam has to go tonight after an equally toothless display. And we haven’t even played for 2 weeks so no excuses.

I wouldn't have sacked Hunt but did we have midfield domination, 6 attempts on target, 30 touches in the opposition box and 2 pretty blatant penalty shouts in that Doncaster game?

I know it's all subjective but I thought today was a marked improvement on most games this season.

Is there a separate league table for the amount of fireworks used as part of the match day spectacle?

Vision Another poor 1st touch when in on goal. Doyle this time.

We are creating opportunities but our first touch at crucial moments is costing us dearly.

Only saw the second half, but passing quality and first touch were really poor at times. We frequently played a pass too short putting ourselves in touble. Or took so long making a decision we'd telegraphed the pass. Lots of passes backwards when other more positive passes were available.

I thought Wing and Savage were faily poor and at fault for that a lot, but Savage did pull out an absolute screamer.

Doyle is weak as piss and for someone with two good feet doesn’t have much of a first touch.

From the HT highlights, we had a couple of good first half chances, and could have had two pens. Then a couple of good chances second half. So despite looking slow, confused and poor at passing, we still created enough to win that comfortably if we could finish, let alone pass.

Absolutely hate the subs moving everyone around all the time. Don't bring on Garcia at RW and then move him to LB 5 minutes later to bring on Camara ffs. Kelvin got moved from striker to LW to RW. It's sends a message you don't know what you're doing, and you make the team have to constantly re-adjust.

Full back musical chairs every sodding game irrespective of the management - why? Shouldn’t we have two settled full/wing backs by now or are they all just a load of toilet?

Got on to RoyalsTV no problem at HT, but they did later apologise for the issues people had in the first half, teething troubles with the revamped website.

Note, Hunt wasn’t sacked for a poor performance in one game. Probably worth remembering.

On the game, only managed to listen while dicking around with the website so not a lot to say other than it doesn’t sound like Leam has come in and made any radical changes. I think that’s what we needed, but perhaps it’s telling of the players, who may simply not be capable of radical change.

Just got back

We did ok. Much the better side - Rotherham came to stink the place out, Knick a goal and then shithouse - and that’s almost what they did

They’ve been on a good run and not conceded for ages so to actually create a fair bit was promising. They had one shot on target

Wing and Savage didn’t have great games, superb goal aside. Much lower than usual standards of passing

Doyle is frustrating. Just want so much more from him. Ritchie needs to keep his mouth shut to the ref. R Williams did fairly well. Ref was pretty dire tbh. Worst I’ve seen for a while. 4 mins injury time a joke and let them time waste constantly

Kelvin his usual mix of great and shite, often in the same move, but he did get chances and caused them problems throughout. Badly need a proper target man in and get him out wide though if we want to play like we do

Point is ok though. Keeps the unbeaten home run going. We’ve more discipline and shape now, do create as well. Just a couple of players who really should be doing better not offering enough

Awful performance masked by a wonder goal. Amazed by the possession stats given the amount of sloppy passing from Reading.

Officials woeful as per usual. Difficult to come up with a man of the match.

Stinky! LR knew what Rotherham would come and do but still not set up right. Reading need to be much quicker out of the blocks at the start and not spend games trying to play like the current Liverpool with loads of pointless nowhere passing amongst themselves.

Andrew is best known for his views on prayer being better than medical science. So perhaps not worth giving a lot of time to his occasional outburst.

Awful football. Was really expecting an improvement - Richardson has had two full weeks to exert some influence, but if anything, it was more inept that the last few performances under Hunt.

On the positive side, one of the best strikes I've seen in 25 year following Reading. Plus Kelvin E really put a shift in.

Fireworks were modest, but no one's every done it for us before, so I'm grateful.

No car park 6 means we got the bus, so drank more, so it was a better day out than the football really justified.

A lot of work needed.

On the Additional time, isn’t it mandatory 30 seconds per sub and goal? Which would mean he awarded less than 2 minutes for multiple injury stoppages and time wasting. In the second half. There waa one stoppage that was at least 2 minutes. Ahead of 90 I was expecting min of 5, maybe up to 7 or 8.

He seemed to be doing half of Rovrum's stoppages and slow down for them. Freekicks for no advantage because they passed the ball backwards, forcing their player off without treatment because the physios came on, then letting them not restart for about 25 of those 30 seconds.

Ref was one of the worst I've seen in 25 years. Another insipid performance in front of a large crowd and a wonder goal papering over the cracks once again.

Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t great. Midfield passing was poor particularly. But….Rotherham been on a very good run and we totally shut them out the game - the goal they scored was one of only two times they threatened at all. That’s a positive

We did create a fair bit - positive. Probably should have had at least one pen.

Always disappointing when you don’t win at home but always going to be a tough game against a very defensive side high on confidence

As I said - we did ok. Probably more positives than negatives

Really surprised Rhino didn't get some game time, if you're on the bench then you must be fit enough to play? Would have thought with 30 mins to go and with us struggling to get anything going that would be an ideal time for him to sit deep and break up play allowing Wing and Savage to get forward.
Would also have been nice for him to receive a warm welcome back in front of a decent crowd. My only gripe about todays game other than the obvious striking deficiencies was the slow labored build up play and the constant lateral and backward passing!! mostly by Wing.
