Other clubs reactions.

by leicsRoyal » 22 Jan 2012 17:10

Having a quick look around the other boards there are some interesting reactions to our possible takeover.

I'll start with those from Oxf@rd.

We certainly don't fit the profile of most big take over clubs.

No great history, no big financial problems. Far less opportunity for turning a quick big profit from promotion.

I'm willing to bet that Poxy Oxy are the one's who would love to be our rivals.

All in all, bit of a non-story beyond these hallowed halls.

No great history, no big financial problems. That must have made us very attractive Far less opportunity for turning a quick big profit from promotion. Hopefully they're in it for the long run

I'm hoping this new boy (mob) have more of an idea about English football than those chicken farmers at Blackburn.

It wouldn't make us attractive to the run of the mill football club buyer these days. But it would to someone genuine. Hopefully.

I liked the reply he got

Reading have quite a new stadium, have recently been in the Premiership, Reading isn't that far from London and they aren't about to go into the 3rd division. History means bugger all I'm afraid.

Oxford fan:

"Hope so, their average away attendance being over 100 below ours, for the championship, shows how many plastics turn out for home games".

Really does speak volumes, how do we have less of an away following than oxford.

Who really gives a oxf*rd about Oxford and Swindon? Combine both clubs and they still wouldn't be as big as us

Wanting to be their rivals?

The way I see it it's a one way rivalry. I have nothing against Oxford...

I sometimes even look out for their results
