what is going on?!? i was hoping that i would wake up this morning and everything would be confirmed. honestly its difficult to believe that it is taking this long considering he took his medical monday or tuesday, has been taking pictures in reading fc gear, and his agent has confirmed the signing. not sure what were waiting for.

Today's Reading Chronicle:

ROYSTON Drenthe took to social media to announce his own arrival at Reading FC.

The ex-Real Madrid star penned a three-year deal yesterday (Wednesday) after passing a medical at Madejski Stadium.

The club declined to comment on the signing, but Drenthe took the matter into his own hands and posted a picture of himself wearing Reading's latest training kit at the Madejski on Instagram.

The 26-year-old midfielder is pictured with his thumbs up alongside a short message of '#nr10 #readingfc super happy !!'.

You're a little bugger..

"I have not signed for three years for nothing," he declared. "We want to make big steps forward. We want to play good football."

The club is probably doing its usual thing and keeping Schtum until 1st July when it'll do a big thing about Drenthe, Bridge and anyone else who may join in the meantime

They probably see it as great PR and efficiency saving rather than the total willyness of it all that the fans see it as

Strange how they have not announced it though. They must be waiting to tie up another deal so they can announce them together? I hope.. :?
