Spoke to a couple of great oldish Shrewsbury fans pre-match in the pub. They were pretty apprehensive about their chances generally, scoring any goals specifically – , and bemoaning how long it took the board to get rid of Matt Taylor.

They did laugh at the dreadful bus options at the New Meadow, apparently the week before the Wigan fans legged it back to the single-decker bus, leaving all the home fans with the 40-minute back into town. For future reference, they recommended The Prince of Wales, which does a Nags-style bus on match days.

WestYorksRoyal The "they're down the bottom" comments very ill informed. We've been on play-off chasing form for over 2 months, and would surely be up there with a proper pre season and without a points deduction

Yeah precisely, on current form, we should have expected a fairly comfortable win so it was understandably frustrating to lose. Just need to bounce back against Carlisle who are yet another team in atrocious form.

And adding to this, it's not "we should be winning games like this" because it's little old Shrewsbury. We deserve to be in the same division. We should be winning it because they had 1 win in 7, have a poor away record and were below us in the table.

But fair play, they turned up on the day and deserved to win. It happens.

Yeah certainly wouldn’t argue they deserved the win. Some good finishes, managed the game well second half and managed to play the game they wanted once they got the third

My guess is we’ll finish above them but that was a massive game for them to win

Unfortunately a few idiots like Jimmy give out the arrogant big club vibes. Which combined with our form vs their form and the expectations it leads to makes more than is really true look like total gimps.

Just back to West County from Reading! Nothing to say about the match, Reading were a class above Cambridge.
The thing that annoyed me more than anything were the ***** idiots who chose to abuse Smith & Knibbs! You should be extremely embarrassed! I am ashamed for you! Both came across to the Cambridge supporters before the game and at full time to show their appreciation to our club/supporters.The hate that was directed at them was out of order and you should be ashamed!

Yeah, but nothing too controversial.

-They reckon they were worth a draw (fair)

-They had a bit of a debate about whether Pereira was the difference or if most of his work was routine

-They are bemoaning that we are a bit of a historical bogey team for them as we just became the team they’ve lost most times to in their history

Ooh, they're in the run for promotion to L1 this season.

Be nice to be multiple clubs' bogey team.

As for our bogey teams, we will thankfully be dodging Chesterfield (hopefully) and Bury.

Pretty much every team we've played in the last decade bar Preston has been a bogey team.

Great voices from all the travelling Imps.

Beggars belief how Reading are down at that end of the table

Reading a good side especially out wide.

Have to say Azeez is a real handful - can we sign him, or is he on loan from a higher club?

Reading despite their place are pretty decent side with some championship players.

Shout out to Reading too, despite their issues I thought things were very well organised - lots of buses to and from the ground to the station, and things in and out stadium seemed to run smoothly, can tell they've been higher.

Their number 11 also looked decent - Azeez I think.

Nice ground, and I have to say one of the louder home support’s I’ve heard. If you consider the sort of season they’ve had I guess it’s the situation with the owners that probably galvanises the supporters.

At the match yesterday and impressed with stadium, shutte bus etc - also impressed with our support and theirs, to be fair

I see a Reading WAG is mouthing off on Twitter about Erhahon and the coaching staff looking at her tweets.

Obviously Ethan spent the match winding his opposite number up about her tweets and it worked given he went home and told her!

Job done Ethan well played!

I feel deep sympathy with the Reading fans and think they should have been awarded a penalty.....

...suspended for 12 months.

Quite a cocky lot aren't they, considering the excrement they are in, still looking out for the results of Shrewsbury, Cheltenham and Burton.
Saw this on one of their forums:

I'd quite like to see Lincoln sneak promotion after today - they would get utterly humiliated in the Championship.

There's more than a whiff of the Wigan about the place.

Hardly heard a thing from them until they scored.

Oh dear, like he`d go there.

TBF some decent comments overall.

Just a shame their team isn't a bit more sportsmanlike.

Fair play to them, they seem to have travelled well and there's a fair few sensible comments there.

They have no hope of laying hands on Azeez though. And they would get smashed in the Champ.

The penalty suspended for 12 months is genuinely quite funny.
