Adkins has had a ridiculous amount to deal with in his short time here. The guy deserves another 12 months, and two more transfer windows with the full support of the board before we ship him out.

Disagree.
Parkinson has shown himself to be a decent enough lower league manager but Adkins has proved himself better than that.
Win percentages of 37.37% and 49.68% say a lot.

Think Parky has made a lot of progress in his management career and look forward to the day he takes the reigns at Reading. I can't see it for a while yet though...

What Royalee said.
Parky has had two shots at Championship level management and utterly flunked them. His style of play is totally one-dimensional, very much a lower league Brian McDermott if you will, where his side will get found out at a higher level. Did incredibly well with Colchester, take nothing away from that but his stint then at Hull, and then Charlton was utterly dismal. He's been somewhat fortunate with his Bradford side recently with the emergence of Nhaki Wells with James Hanson the perfect direct football foil, but take those out and his side is very, very average. It remains to be seen what happens to Bradford under him when the effects of the League Cup run last season fade completely, because take their last extraordinary season out of the equation, you have a very underwhelming record.
The old adage "never go back" applies completely here. Phil Parkinson should never be offered the managerial job at Reading.

Parky has done nothing as a manager and was a cart horse of a player.
