Just saw that on the BBC site. Can't decide if it's a misunderstanding around country of birth or plain racism.

He'll be hung out to dry as an example no doubt anyway to show that Russia really isn't racist at all!!

We're talking about Russia, won't cause a ripple.

I like how they are not sure on why the name.

If they took the time to do a 10 second wiki search, they would've found out.

The name is a reference to the town's association with biscuit making: for many years, the town of Reading was home to the Huntley & Palmers biscuit factory, makers of HobNob biscuits.

And yes, Edinburgh Live - you can quote me on that, as I am sure you asked the other posters if they could be quoted in your article

...and just as importantly, that "to hobnob" means to have a chat.

Hate to throw a spanner in but Hob Nobs are,and were, made by McVities,no connection to Huntley and Palmers.
H &P were well known for ginger nuts or more appropriately for the broken biscuits which seemed to be part of employees perks and fed most of Reading. Those were the days.

Posting on here is like a madman shouting on the street. You can't complain when a local newspaper reports on what you've been saying, although you might question what they consider newsworthy.

The Tilehurst end interview with Yann is very good. He's damning about the attitude of some players, straight on their phones and jocular after getting tonked week on week. I reckon it isnt a stretch to work out who. Fcking hates Clement too

Liked Yann but let's face it, he was really poor last year, don't like him trying to find excuses for it

Nice quote in that article from Athletico Spizz
Athletico Spizz Gotta agree with this, even Kevin Doyle got given a decent run to get his scoring boots on.

“And Hibs are way above Div2 standard.

He’d been in the team that replaced Lee Hodges

17 Years to the day since Curo scored one of our most famous goals: https://mobile.twitter.com/JamieCuro/status/1119534402936111104

This weekend he's the subject of a press frenzy as he approaches his 1000th first team appearance in Senior football.

The goals have been flying in of late and he is now the division's top scorer with 20 this season for Bishops Stortford, where he also shares the Manager's responsibilities.

The numbers don't lie, what a career, but it's not over yet...

https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.com/features/26671/jamie-cureton-closes-in-on-1000th-appearance-and-has-no-plans-of-retirement/

Either today or on Monday, good luck Jamie for 1000th appearance and beyond.

Look forward to hearing another song for him in Club1871 on Monday.
