Sorry, I look at that design and all I can think of is Ashley Giles and I secretly start hoping for an amusing spelling mistake.

windermereROYAL Apparently still needs some tinkering, but for the thousands of us that are not up to date with our Spanish it means "KING OF BERKSHIRE"

I think having the word 'Berkshire' in blue and white to signify the RFC colours, whilst keeping the 'Rey Del' in the red and yellow colours of Selles native Spain would look better, just my opinion though.

[quote="skipper"]Hi gang,

Some fans on Facebook suggested getting a giant Ruben flag made, so show some respect to the man for what he has achieved this season.

They're remarkably cheap, so I've put together a fundraiser, link below.

Please consider chucking a £5er in.

Aim to release at the Lincoln home game.... if not before.

I haven't contacted the club yet, but I will....

No thank you, deluded!

I'm surprised it only took him a month to come up with that biting retort.

I guess typing with a head wand is quite tricky.

Horsham Royal I was taught not to use an article for proper nouns ...
So "Rey de Berkshire"

Try learning a bit of a foreign language
Their sentence construction is definitely not the same as English

Lux is probably yer man, given his language knowledge
He can give you a more definitive answer

Or maybe your recollection isn’t what it used to be
Having asked my neighbour he’s confirmed ‘del rey’ is, indeed, correct

My wife is a Spanish translator and says in Spain that "King of Castile" would be "El Rey de Castile". So "King of Berkshire" would be "El Rey de Berkshire". Hope that helps...

The flag is grammatically correct in Spanish.

Think "Copa Del Rey" as an example of the grammar.

Didn't see Nigel Adkins getting a giant flag for doing a fairly average job.

Holy Nath, why so negative bud!! Ruben started poorly but has overcome huge adversity and has done an amazing job in most fans eye's whilst the whole club has pretty much fallen around him!! The guy speaks well and isn't afraid to say his piece and has got a bunch of young players playing for the club.....i really couldn't see Nigel doing the same under the conditions Ruben has had to deal with.

Most fans said at the start of the season it would need a miracle to stay up!! we're now 5 games shy of pulling that miracle out of the hat. I for one appreciate everything this guy has done for the club and if this is a way the fans can show the appreciation to Ruben then surly the guy deserves a moment of respect from the fans.

A giant flag being raised high by club 1871 from now until the end of the season will be a special moment for any manager.

Sorry Crowbar, I was only fcuking around.

I think you're right, Selles could have easily left us in the lurch. He had every right to walk away from the mess but he held his nerve and has given us some memorable moments.

I hope the Reading supporters remember it when and if things improve off the field. Once our ownership issues are sorted they'll be a lot of pressure put on Selles to get us back up to the Championship. The same way he deserves a level of admiration for his work under adversity this season he will deserve the same in patience once he has a budget to work with.

Hope all is well with you sir.
