2004-5 Reading travel to promotion chasing Wigan. A 3-1 defeat leaves the Royals outside the playoffs.
2007-8 Whilst Reading thrash Derby 4-0 a late goal for Fulham at Portsmouth sends us down.
2008-9 Reading need to beat Birmingham for automatic promotion to the premier league. A 2-1 defeat sends us to usual play off misery.
2013-14 A 2-2 draw against Burnley is not enough as Brighton score a late winner to condemn us to another season in the championship.
