He's provided a perfect case study on how the current English football ownership and governance models are irretrievably broken.

And exposed the weakness of the EFL's governance abilities.

And provided the ammunition which will hasten the passing of the Football Governance Bill.

Funded the club for the last 8 years and paid for our training ground.

Subsidised the buses on match day

Subsidised tickets to Man U and coach travel to a few away games

I liked him.

Always had the club's best interests at heart but was betrayed by his advisors and screwed by the EFL.

Did a good job on ticket prices.
Thought he could be successful by throwing money at things but threw too much at the wrong people and then didn’t deal with the fallout
Hasn’t left us saddled with huge debt, just an imbalance between income and expenditure.

The buyback clause in the contract will mean Dai will one day lead us back to the Prem.

We were the only club in the championship to do the twenty is plenty. At a time when Leeds were charging £39. And he did pay for coaches for some of the long away trips.

If he’d just sold the club quickly after we were relegated then I’d not have had too many hard feelings. Gambled and messed up badly but he did put in a ton of money and if he’d had someone with a clue advising on transfers it might have worked

Last two years have been a disgrace though

Taking this at face value....

The kits were not from generic templates ( whether you liked them or not) the Macron partnership produced unique RFC kits

The ST pricing

The BlueCollar years

The Purple Turtle tie-ins.

The SCL partnership, a local company...

None of that takes away from the pain of the last 18 months & for £200M you'd expect a bit more....

- State of the art training ground (has to be top of the list).
- Ticket prices
- Subsidised coach travel (at times)
- Ticket prices

But that all pails into insignificance after the last couple of years.

It's been confimred he never took money out of the club, only ever put money in.

He funded a Cat 1 Academy, and paid for one of the best training complexes in the country.

He was let down by terrible advisors, and a change of mind by the Beijing regime.

Seems to have been too stubborn over the sale, but we'll never know the full story.

Don't suppose we'll ever hear what happens to him from now on in. Because he wasn't evil, I wish him well.

What happened to the alleged £200m he spent? That was listed as debt on one of his companies that owned the club before the sale, has it now been wiped?

Whose money was it as it seemed like he borrowed a lot of it from all sorts of people and secured it on our assets? Have the lenders taken a haircut?
