Quite liked him from what I saw of him at Luton.
No previous connection other than perhaps from Pompey days for Lane.

First jock for a while?.

Seems a solid enough signing. Happy enough. Can’t really remember too much on him but was aware of him at Stoke particularly

Averaging around 7 goals a season at various levels, yes a good signing.

Plays primarily as a winger. Opinion from former clubs is mixed but he's spent the bulk of the last 8 seasons at a level higher than League 1 and is on a free.

Fairly low risk signing for a 2 year deal, IMO.

Good to be getting our business done early. No excuses for a slow start this year.

Not sure where I sit on the whelm meter on this one. As a striker meh stats as a winger or maybe as a number 10 good stats….

He says he’s a striker whereas wiki says he’s a wing back/winger!

He’s a 5’10” 28 year old Scottish international with 8 apps to date

Scored on his debut for Stoke against Reading in November 2020 and has played in the PL for Luton scoring in a 2-1 win over Pslace, but has spent 2 of the last 3 seasons being relegated. Rammed home a whopping 1 goal in 15 on a 6 month loan at Pompey in the second half of last season (and wasn’t really getting into Luton’s league one side before then).

Rather have Father Brown.

Not bothered about negative reviews from former club’s fans. They loved Paddy Lane and he was shit for us last year, sometimes different players suit different environments.

Also why does the board look like Ryanair.

Had ankle surgery in March 25, didn't make a comeback until Oct/Nov 25 so missed all of pre-season....played some minutes for Luton before going to Pompey on deadline day where he was used as a sub.

I'm not going to judge him on last season....

Apparently he was top scorer for Stoke in 21/22 season with 14 goals.

And player of the season. There's obviously a decent player in there, certainly for this level.

If he has come in as a striker, his goal record is a worry. Adds depth, but certainly not a signing that gets fans super excited.
If anything, the excitement from fans comes from being starved of much excitement!

Luton fan report says biggest issue is keeping him fit. Good to see we've learnt our lesson...

Think it’s a straight whelm rather than an over or an under.
