contract expiries

Here is a list of players who's contracts expire at the end of the season. You would imagine talks should start progressing in the next month or two with the players we wish to keep.

so who out of this lot would you offer a new contract to, and which would you try and cash in on in jan/release next summer

im sure there might be academy players that are expiring too, but i aint looking all them up, so this is just the players in the first team squad .

Ahmed worth keeping, and Savage if he is interested in staying. Rinomhota and Williams need to prove themselves but could well be good enough. The rest will probably leave.

Ahmed the only one I'd be approaching desperate to keep out of that little lot due to potential sell on value. Maybe Kyerewaa as an impact sub/squad player and Rinomhota, if he can rediscover some form.

Assuming Savage wouldn't renew, even if he was offered a deal.

Andy Rinomhota - See how he does up to Christmas, new contract if he performs

The right approach for players like Williams, but for proper high potential you move now. That means getting Ahmed signed up, and putting out the feelers with Savage (sign him up or find a deal in January).

Maybe not relevant for all the players here, but iirc the compensation rules for youngsters are different if a contract offer has been made.

They will have a rough idea of who they want to extend, conversations probably haven't started yet but expect they would around October time with an aim for it to be clear to all by Jan if individual players will extend/want to extend or move on/be moved on.

Ahmed is the only one who looks as though his value could increase over the coming season so worth taking a chance on him.
The consensus was that Savage would leave now and if LR keeps on leaving him out of the starting eleven he will probably be off in January.

Otherwise am not fussed about the rest.

Yeah basically. I don’t mind Fraser but certainly wouldn’t be sad to see go. Needs to improved to get another contract

No to DK. We can do better, he doesn’t offer enough. Give him the season here and if he improves have a look again after Xmas. But currently I’d be happy to see him go.

Sure someone (probs brogue) said there was a contract on the table for Savage but he wanted to explore his options.
