Reading send Convey to States

First I've heard of this? Why send him to the States? Surely he would be better recuperating here, close to his team mates and physio???

Makes sense to me, he has an injury and needs a break to get fit. We clearly trust the US medical staff and facilities and Convey gets a chance to see his family and come back in the right frame of mind and most importantly fit.

He's probably a bit down because of the injury and lack of form so wwhere is the harm in letting him go back to the US for a few days to see his family and get some extra treatment? Sounds like good man management to me.

May as well go home if he isn't near ready to play.

But yet again we rushed him back to play against Pompey when he wasn't ready and have probably knocked his recovery back by another 3 weeks.

How many times have we done that over the last 18 months? Kitson, Little, Murty, Convey and Sonko having to make miracle recoveries to play...

I hope we don't repeat this again with Murty!

I think there would be some on here who would quite happily pay his air fare (I'm not one of those if you were wondering)

Tis true

I went out for a couple of drinks with Bobby when he was "seeing" a female friend of mine. He said he had no friends in England outside of football - i offered to be one but could only speak to him about footy so it wasn't exactly helping things.

All his family are back in the states and he's still getting used to UK life.

You should have suggested he goes on an internet messageboard as they're good ways of meeting people.

I would drive him to the airport, carry his bags, check him in, buy him a gift from duty free, show him the way to the departure lounge and even select what meal he wants on the plane if it meant he would never come back again.

I love what Lita has done for us and his goals have been vital (especially his goal against Boro' as that must have given us the insentive to play like we have been) but i dont like the way he wont fight for the ball (like seol) and wont play unless he recieves the ball
