Arteta to miss Reading Clash

by WestCoast Life » 02 Jan 2007 13:44

Everton FC Everton have received confirmation of Mikel Arteta's suspension.

The Spaniard will serve a one-match ban when the Blues play Reading on January 14.

Arteta picked up his fifth yellow of the season in the 2-1 reverse at Manchester City.

And Leon Osman is currently walking the disciplinary tightrope with four cautions to his name.

But should he, or any other player, avoid a fifth yellow until after the end of February, he will not face a suspension.

Excellent he's a quality player - just informed the Toffemen working in my office and they're gutted! Although apparently Cahill could be back for our game!

If, and that's a massive if, Cahill is back, it will be a big ask for him to be back to his best.

Same as.

Brilliant he's out, though.

Good news - most of the good stuff that Everton played at the MS came through Arteta.

Excellent news indeed. That and Cahill being out is a great boost to our chances.
Let's just hope that Everton continue to be refused penalties.
