Platypuss ANOTHER contract re-negotiation for Doyle?

That's 2 in 18 months.

Augurs well for Sidwell, I feel.

As a few of us remembered - Doyle signed an improved deal only last January - this new one adds an extra year and is no doubt with an increased weekly wage.

Very good business - it safeguards the asset and increases its potential valiue. Perhaps Mr Mad should view Sidwell in the same way - increase his wage by £5k per week, but increase his asset value to £4M from diddly squat.

G'La Apparently Milan Baros has been seen at the Mad Stad

For what its worth...

The report came from some guy who works in the hotel.... but I have this news about 5 people down the line.

If we were paying the kind of money players like Baros want then we would have given Sidwell a big fat contract in the summer.

Its possible that we're about to give Sidwell his £25k per week he wants. Baros can only be on about £30-35k. £40k at a push! He's clearly not in O'neils plans as hes not even made 10 starts this season. Its quite possible that we could offer £25-£30k pw and he'll accept it.

Im not saying that this is a dead sert but its certainly worth reporting news on the grape-vine.

Also the fact that Baros is clearly shite and is not the type of player Coppell would look at. Hes such a selfish player and hes been discusses on previous threads. He doesn't work for the team at all and constantly runs with his head down and falls over. Baros is on about 40k at Villa but he is not one i would like to see here at all.

You make him sounds a bit like Lita with a high wage.

It would make good financial sense to do so, and the Chairman is very good at that sort of making money grow and stuff.

I would even speculate that perhaps some people made enquiries about young Doyle and the extra money was a safeguard so that stupid money would have to change hands for him to leave.

Sidwell ought to be able to sign now, seeing as his wife will be appearing in that WAGS boutique thing - that will supplement his meagre income.

LoyalRoyal22 Not to sure on Hunt

Mr Madejski must be sure, he's almost crushing Hunts hand with excitement, in the picture special on the OS.

Does anyone think Doyle has been given as much as Sidwell will want to sign on the dotted line?

If it's a choice between Doyle or Sidwell the former wins hands down and should earn more than he who shouts loudest.

I hope we aren't about to put to the test just how nice a lad Kevin Doyle might be.

Is Doyle standing on the Yellow pags, or is Hunt just short?

great news on Doyle and Hunt signing new contracts, esp Doyle! (ok so im biased but i dont care, its the best news ive had today!!)

was at work when a mate came up to tell me bbc berkshire were awaiting to find out who had been signed for reading and only found out when got home!! dam work! keeping me in suspense was killing me but so glad that we have got Doyle signed up until 2010!

as for Hunt, glad he's got his contract too. he deserves it over the season so far.

just need to get Sidwell to re-sign and ill be in an even better mood.

i wonder how much their new deals were worth though?

Great news, Doyle is a loyal chap....he'd be a guy who'd be very appreciative of the chance Reading gave him and he won't forget that in a hurry.
