Paul Kitson to start on Saturday

by Norfolk Royal » 19 Jan 2007 08:12

According to the Daily Mirror pg 67 today.

I wasn't even aware we'd signed him. Thought he'd retired.

Ah well, Coppell knows best.

I'm not surprised that the Mirror have managed to get Kitson's name wrong. Never been a newspaper for quality stories!

I am a little surprised that you have read it though Norfolk Royal. From reading your posts, I would have thought you'd be more of a Telegraph reader?

Aha, never judge a whatever by its whatever or something.

Seriously though, another in the long list of wrong names of our players reported in the national papers.

I think Harper has been the main victim but all have suffered.

The Beeb are also guilty today in the match preview...

READING scored one of the fastest goals in Premier League history, and certainly the fastest goal of this Premiership season when Kevin Doyley set the Royals on the way to a 2-1 triumph

Did you not know that Doyle has a business sideline making Doyleys for old people's home?

Surely that's better than the threads about grammatical mistakes on the board?

It's not just a mistype, it's a mistaken identity! Probably why Dave complains that he's been forgotten.

If you read the article (actually more of a snippet) Coppell refers to him as Dave in his quote - so Ann Gripper (is that another of Colin's aliases?) didn't even bother to listen to the great man himself

Ann Gripper - the lazy journo from the Mirror Reading boss Steve Coppell said: "I see no reason why Dave can't start. He's been training for two-and-a-bit weeks, so I don't think it will be a problem."

BTW they have corrected it on the website

It was probably some idiot that typed it up on the website, not necessarily the reporter themselves. Anyway, these threads are utterly boring

Sheffield United (from): Gerrard, Davis, Jagielka, Gillespie, Kozluk, Tonge, Armstrong, Bromby, A Quinn, Montgomery, Webber, Hulse, Law, Nade, Kazim-Richards, S Quinn, Geary, Stead, Lucketti, Kilgallon, Seck.

Calm down H&P you don't have to read every thread you know, even if you are a mod.

Hmm, I disagree, as long as we have Steve Sedgley and Stuart Little in the first XI we have always got a better than even chance of winning at home.

I've always seen KD as a no-frills kind of player.
