Almost perfect results

by londinium » 31 Mar 2007 17:04

Almost a perfect set of results for us today.

Middlesborough and Newcastle now look totally out of the hunt for a European spot after defeats.

With Blackburn also losing and Pompey dropping 2 points in the last minute gives us a huge opportunity to break away from the teams behind us. A draw would still be a great result althought the thought of going back to 6th and a European spot is something that I could get used too.

Only bad result of the day was Bolton winning, as 5th spot would have been even sweeter!! Every cloud though has a silver lining and to see Colin in a relegation scrap is very nice.

It will be great going into tomorrows fixuture knowing that even in defeat we wont have lost ground on most of the fellow chasers.

Good observations, please can we not have the posts the we should not be so fixated with COLIN, the guy is a nob (and not a nobber).

On the positive side, as above, 3 points will do a treat and cement a firm hold on our position.

It could be anyone to join the top 4 in Europe.
For me it's still about taking one game at a time and what will be will be.

5 Bolton 31 -2 50
6 Everton 30 12 46
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7 Tottenham 30 -1 45
8 Reading 30 5 44
9 Portsmouth 31 5 43
10 Blackburn 31 -8 40
