Koumas well out of our price range.
Kamara would be good, but unlikely. Were we not fashionable enough for him?
Gera maybe, not overly excited by that idea though.

Chaplow? Potential is there if the coach's can develop him.

Gera is an excellent player and would be great competition for Little.

I think we could get Koumas - I can't see how a Championship club can stand up to a £40 million transfer kitty.

How can you say Koumas is out of our price range !

I would think he would more likely rule himself out on character grounds

Two players that I would like to see playing for us Jason Koumas and Zoltan Gera ... cant see them being too expensive to land especially if West Brom dont come up

However If we were looking for a replacement for sidwell I am not sure these two would step up to the mark. We need to try and get a Better player than Sidwell and i personally rate them at a similar level

Who has a £40 million transfer kitty? If we have any more than £8 million I would be surprised

Id be suprised if it wasn't close to this including the whopping TV deal next season. I expect to see at least 10 million spent in the summer to show some sort of ambition to push on.

Surely the TV money that would be available for transfers would be more than 8 million

Don't forget Curtis Davis is there as well.

I think he probably is out of our reach but if we're making things up like a £40 million transfer kitty I think he'd be an excellent signing.

WBA are flirting with the figure of £5m for him.
Would we really pay that?

Maybe I'm still in the small time mind set but I just don't see that sort of money being spent on one player just yet.

Especially with the cost of the East, South and North stands to pay for over the next 2 years.

I think 10 might be a realistic figure. Whether or not we can actually spend it is another matter.

It must be easier this year than last, but I think we'll still struggle to attract the players we need to improve the side.

We have spent £5.15 million this season on four players plus two on long term loan and three freebies. I just don't see that we will go out and spend a huge amount of money like £10 million or more, it's just not something we do

Well, £40 million tv money, meaning we'd have a lot to spend. I don't think Koumas would be out of our price range as the gap between the Premiership and Football League grows even wider. West Brom are stuffed financially without promotion.

If we spend £10 million this summer, I will be genuinely shocked.

One mention of £40 million transfer kitty is one step from £40 million transfer kitty as fact.

We would have paid good deal of cash for Mensah if he was keen and if Rennes was prepared to let him go for the right price.
Same with Emerse Fae at Nantes.

As Coppell said... "We made an offer and they turned it down. Both clubs said it doesn't matter what we offer, the players are not for sale,"

Perception about Reading might change so the impact players might actually stamp their foot about wanting to join us, putting pressure on the likes of Nantes and Rennes.

Whatever, Coppell will need a few signings to freshen things up and keep a settled squad on their toes.
Whether he'll get his first choice unfortnatley might be out of his hands.
