Shane Long

With Coppell changing things around recently and trying different line ups I wondered weather he has played Shane on the wing? He has some cracking pace and would play well behind Doyle/Kitson/Lita (not all at once) I would like to see that. Has he tried it before in any res matches?

Problem is that shanes passing isn't brilliant, he may be a little ineffective up there.

Huntley & Palmer Crossing could be a problem

As proved by most of our wingers !

Shane could be the new Gilkes / Meaker / Hughes/ Forster / Hunt (the list goes on !)

A bit harsh, Convey is one of the best crossers I have seen at Reading. Seol has created plenty of goals from his crossing as well.

Who needs wingers when you have a top class crosser playing at left-back.

Good point Shorey could do one heck of a job further up field should a need ever arise. As good as any at taking players on,great awareness and not a bad shot to boot.
Im not seriously suggesting we stick him up front but he would far from embarrass himself there IMHO.
